Hi, is there a "factory reset" option on the esc? I am running a 21.5R V3 1 Cell motor and it seems so slow. I normally run 17.5R. I have calibrated the esc to my transmitter.

The reason I asked is that the LCD Multi Esc Program Card just has "-" in both the Item and Value boxes. I'm sure I have seen numbers in them before that tell you the programmed value.

thanks!

You have not said which esc you are running, only what motor is hooked up to it. Is your battery fully charged? What software is on the esc?

Opps thought I was in the SP Cirtix thread Fully charged battery, the software would be standard as I havent updated anything

I may have the wrong programming card as the one I just looked at had the ability to display 2 numbers in the value field whereas mine can only display 1.
All the programming boxes look so similar.

Thanks

Couldnt tell the exact temp as I didnt have my temp gun with me as I was just playing with my Tamiya Nissan R91Cp but the motor was just warm to touch, not hot at all. Are 21.5 slow normally compared to 17.5?

It is a slower motor but it may come down to the gearing that your doing if its just warm to the touch you might be able to gear it up more. You do need a temp gun though so you don't burn up your motor.

Do you have the same gearing as though you were using your 17.5?

no I don't as my 17.5 is in my F104. I guess I didnt expect a 21.5 to be so slow. It's a 70T spur and 14T Pinion. Longest straight is approx 25 > 30 meters

I had a Tamiya Sport Tuned Motor in prior to the 21.5 with the same gearing and it was quicker.

Thanks for your help, appreciate it

Thats the problem right there. You can't gear a brushed motor the same and you gear a brushless motor. With a 70/14 your gear ratio is 13. For brushless 21.5 you need to be down to a 4.2 ratios. Your gearing is way off thats why the 21.5 seems slower that the sport tuned motor.

Ahh thank you so much. Really appreciate you taking the time to sort through this with me. Mental note - put more details into my initial question

Try to keep temps under 180F to prevent letting out the magic smoke
