I'm not Adam but I would suggest dropping a tooth or two. You might find the car to not only have more punch but also more top speed. The only guys running an FDR that low at my local track are still using GTB's which don't have the timing advance features of newer speed controls. The guys running newer speedos like SPX's, Tekin RS, and GT2.0's are running in the 3.75-4.0 range, depending on the motor and mechanical timing they are using.

I got a progammer on the way. What version software do I want to install on my GT2.0s?

Hi Adam,

What's a good starting point for SP 17.5 with GT2.0 ESC running in Xray T2'009?

I've been running this for a couple of months with mixed success, I seem to be down on speed compared to other cars. Currently have timing and DRRS maxed out with FDR around 3.6, temps always around 145 F.

Main track I run on has a couple of decent straights, other tracks are quite technical with not many straights.
What would you recommend for these tracks?

Thanks in advance.

hows your esc temperature ?

Adam, how do we know the difference between
SpeedPassion GT2.0 Pro and GT2.0 LPF without the sticker on it
this is verry important to Black carbon and blue star,
We need it to identify those, PRO and LPF without sticker ?

Hi Irgo,

I haven't checked the ESC temp.
I have enabled the Temp setting and it has never cut out if that's an indication.

Won't be running again until the weekend, was hoping to get some good settings before I ran it again.

Thanks.

your
17.5sp FDR would be better start at 4.6 to 6.
your 17.5 FDR at 3.6 might too low.

Most guys at Vegas were starting around 4.4-4.2 and ran for 5 minutes then checked temps, they moved up or down from there, also this will depend on the software your running

If you start pulling the decals off the escs you wont be able to tell, a very good reason to leave them on

2wd buggy: 17.5, 13.5, or 9.5
4wd buggy: 9.5
1/12 Pan 4 cell: 17.5
1/10 VTA: 21.5 novak motor by rule

For the 17, 13 and 21.5 run the 312 with maxed out timing and DRRS

For 9.5 run the 323 with maxed timing and drrs

thank's for your advice,
will LCD show us the differences identification between GT2.0 Pro and GT2.0 LPF Black Carbon and Blue Star ?
will we see the differences identification inside esc cover ?

I will check on that quickly.
I know if you use the LCD you can put labels/name the 3 profiles that can be changed on teh esc.
So that would help if you did it before hand.

razzor 09-15-2009 12:50 PM

answer is no.
Both Pro and LPF have the same hardware designation in the software and only the software version differentiates between my two with 205G on my mod car and i labelled my 3 profiles for each esc.

but if LCD could changed it's labels/name
since it change it's firmware.
so anyone who had LPF can change their name's to PRO.
there's must be any physical identification that it was PRO or LPF.
how do we know if the factory/reseller does not trick us right?
