ok tonight i ran this , the grip was up so i turned the boost up to 40 and the turbo up to 20 and the boost start to 5000 , this made the car a lot smoother and REALLY REALLY quick !!!!!
temps with fan were Speedo 45 degreesC and motor with 2 fans 70 degreesC
i was laughing all night

I really want to know how BOOST vs no boost in MOD class...........like how the boost hanging with the mod software.

Just for reference, what was ambient temperature?

yes i am now running mod at ETS
i trained with a guy with a 4.5 with an old LRP TC spec and he had more rip out of the corner but half way down the straight i had the speed and i make less mistakes due to less power , smoother on throttle
i still want to work on the set up over the weekend wanna see how far i can go with the timing LOL

Sup guys,
SP wouldn't happen to sell the switch harness on their GT ESCs on the side would they? I broke mine recently by mounting it on the side and the inevitable happened I tried gluing it back on but it never lasts and it'd just brake off every noun then.
Thanks

Cirtix Short Course Master ESC
A question for the Speed Passion Gurus: I have the above mentioned ESC I purchased as a combo with the 3600 kv V2. Everything is great, however I can't seem to dial out the aggressive brakes. I have dialed down the ABS to 1 and am running 10% drag but the truck stops on a dime, very abruptly. This is proving to be a handful on loose surfaces. I have the GT LPF on my buggy and the brakes are smoooth. Maybe I just have to adjust my driving to accommodate the differences in the ESC. Any tips?

well like i said before, Ive have ran boost on everything from a 13.5 down to a 6.5 in the mod class. from 'my personal experiences', it is pretty easy to find a setup that will run the same lap times as a 4.5, HOWEVER that is lap times, I can drive deeper into the turn (usually a sweeper) coming off the straight, have better control on the infield with a smaller boosted mod motor, but coming off a corner on the back door of a 4.5 you WILL get pulled because of the low end grunt those motors have. you can make up the distance later on the track. that was on a very large outdoor track. but that was me. I have seen drivers (such as Travis S a multi time national champ, kick some serious ass with a boosted small motor in the mod class on carpet. it can also be done on pavement, especially if you have a track with low to med traction. it is my understanding that serveral 'PROs' have even been boosting the 4.5. thats just gotta be crazy fast.

Today i've done some testing with 323Stock firmware and 6.5T V3 motor, the track was not sprayed with sugar because it rained the night before, so traction wasn't at its best, but good enough to test motors.
Ambient temperature was about 25°, track temp. 38°, max motor temp 60° without fans
Results were impressive, during the first runs i had too much power! So i toned down some settings to gain a better driveability.
Had no problem keeping up with 5.5 and 5.0 turns motors.
Here is were i started in the morning (too abrupt, difficult to drive) :
Stock rotor
Endbell timing - 5°
FDR - 8.5
4 - 7
9 - 30°
10 - 18°/0.1s
12 - 15°
13 - 5000
14 - 0.3s
15 - 500rpm/deg
and here the settings after various tests, i got a more linear feel of the power band

12 - 20°

15 - 700rpm/deg
Cheers!
BTW, this was the track, main straight is about 35m long
