Can I still use my current Cirtix Combo 17.5R V2 to race the series?

I have the 528 firmware, and had an experienced racer set-up the programming. Now, when I put it on the line..I addded throttle, and it stuttered...then burned! The ESC looks to be ok, as does the battery, BUT..the wires, for the capacitors are fried, and burned! Anyone have an idea what happened? I dont know if it was the ESC, or the caps, that are the problem, and am afraid to try anything, with it, now!
Dave

try check the receiver wire and the fan wire that connect to your esc...its might b wrong polarity...

Is that the same as what you are trying to use...? If that is the same...then someone said it does work.

I know Marc's 416 and 12th scale were using something similar like this on his car racing at the WORLD. Again...I cannot tell it is exactly the same spec but it looks the same to me.

Try it...

they use 2200uf 16v caps...

My Speed Passion GT 2.1 come with 2200uf/25V Cap.

I will be using the SP 'High Power Capacitor' though.

Thanks kschu....

Then he should try the 25V and let us know....but I would stick with 2200uf 16v caps simply because someone tried it and did not get blown up....:D
