All "Spec"/"No timing" classes mean no boost timing ESC's.

Motors are still legal to twist timing into.

Will the SC have the same performance if I set 9 and 12 to setting 1 with the 528 as it would with the 508? I have the GT 2.0 LPF and previously loaded the 528 software using the same computer. Thanks

Anyone?

Did you try re-flashing the software again? The system quite often says the update failed, but trying again will make it work.

No idea whether running minimum settings will make 528STOCK run the same as 508_No_Timing.

Even if you turn down/off the timing settings in 528Stock, it will not be legal for the "No Timing Stock" class. It must have a blinking LED to pass tech.
Like sosidge stated, try reflashing a again, or try another USB port.

I've tried that before, by running the 528 software with all boost settings to 1 you get the same performance as running the 508 no timing software.

Of course is not legal, since there's no blinking led.

No...if your track asking for the ROAR no timing rule, you have to run the 508_no_timing software. Even turning off all the setting from 528 down to 1 is still has the advantage over the 508 "somehow"....and you will have a lot of explaining to do if someone is questioning you about the software that you use and where is the blinking light.

I have tried alot of time helping others uploading software from 528STOCK to 508_no_timing without any problem...check your computer, I bet it is the VISTA or Win 7 thing...I used Window XP just so I don't have to deal with all the new bugs.

Any idea what is the difference between the Cirtix version 2 and the stock cirteix esc? I plan to get one for VTA... any recommendations?

Kelvin...there is no such thing is Cirtix version 2, very much all the cirtix club spec ESC at the shop now are NOVAK/LRP competable.....if not, let SP USA knows and they will take care of you.

Like Blake said...the newer batch should have the USVTA logo on the box and inside the box there should be extra USVTA DECAL for you to place it on the ESC and convert it to USVTA edition club spec ESC.

You can see that at the upcoming I-hobby Expo this weekend.

Sounds Good... Will there be esc's available at the Ihobby? Cos I will definitely be going and I hope to get ahold of a piece of the Cirtix...

Thanks to everyone for trying to help. I can't even get my LCD to talk to my computer now. I even tried it on my older computer with XP rather than Vista. I think my track will be ok with the 528 with 9 and 12 set to 1 as long as I can confidently tell them that is that is no timing. I think that is what I am still hearing here. Otherwise I'll just go back to using one of my v1.1 LPFs with #9 set to zero degrees.

Not sure if it has been asked but is there any word on when or if the 2.1 with the 508 software or the Cirtix speedo will qualify for Roar Sportsman Speed Control approval.

Thanks,

Ivan

Hope you can get that connected.........otherwise, blaim STEVE JOB or BILL GATES.

IVAN....ROAR is re-doing (re-inspection) the no timing specification and inspection right now, we are planning to submitting the CLUB SPEC, GT2.1 ProSTOCK and GT2.1 EX ESC with no timing software installed for ROAR approval. We are confident enough that our ESC and software are qualified to be LEGAL for the ROAR sportsman class....

We are doing the 2010 I-hobby Expo this week, so everything will be submit sometime next week...and we are hoping the above ESC and software will be legal in NOVEMBER.
