Yes best for you to run mod on sp gt2 pro and use the original firmware that came with it. ESC is good enough for pros to qualify in the A Main.

Depending on which esc, the most common of all the stock firmware is the 205G.

What is the limit? And need to change software/firmware? Thinking of purchasing one. Already have the GT2.1 Pro, Making that as spare.

Thnks
Yes, You can!

the Speed Passion GT2.1 Prostock
the "PRO" code remain the same in speed passion meaning the high end Hardwares. "stock" meaning the Firmware inside.
that's why they called Prostock.

So basically it's the same GT2.0 Pro not the Lpf (shawn palmer).

the only way to get GT2.1 Prostock turned into mode is
by change it's firmware into "Mod Firmware" on PC Interface v1.33
or change it into version "205G_T".
your GT2.0 Prostock will be able to run on SP 2.5T Competition.
as GT 2.0 Pro capability (but with new tech Heatsink version 2.1).

Good luck to try

I am holding and reading the manuals for the SP GT 2.0 Pro and SP GT 2.1 Prostock

SP GT 2.0 PRO good down to a 2.5

SP GT 2.0 LPF good down to a 5.5

SP GT 2.1 Prostock good down to a 5.0

the manual that came with the 2.0 Pro says its good down to 2.5

the manual that came with the 2.1 prostock says the 2.0 pro is good down to a 3.5

hope that helps. I do not know remember what software came with the Prostock as I changed it to the supercharger firmware right away.

I have ran down to a 8.5 SP v3 motor with the 422 on the Prostock 2.1 with out issues, It is as fast as a 5.5 but easier to drive, it does lack a little rip off the corners but you make it up on the top end at the end of straight by driving deeper into the corner/sweeper.

that is my opinion and not that of the SP, your results may vary

Depends on when you get your Pro Stock 2.1...most of the 2.1 came with software 100110. However, you should update that to the latest one with the V1.33 interface (along with software version 100422 if that is for stock)

Yes...2.1 speedo can go down to 5.0 mod motor, HOWEVER, it is my opinon, I don't like to push my equipment to its max limit. If it is running MOD, I would stick with the GT2 PRO simiply because I know it is a MOD motor speedo.

+1.

Its probably already in the works and awaiting approval, but could we get an up to pdf that contains what the values are? I know the HW one has the RPM gap listed as 15, rather than just -1, -2... etc

if 15 is similar for the SP, is it possible to know what those values are? - also the same for setting 12 (boost degree rather than a number) and setting 9 (as older software had 9 values), new one only has 8.

Oh btw. used the SP again today in 13.5 at a southern regional event, it was FANTASTIC! you guys at the factory (where ever it may be, and to all those that did the testing); should just stand back and admire it.

Hey Guys,

I've had questions asking if I have tried the Speed Passion speed control in 1S yet and yesterday I was able to do some testing with it in 7.5 1s oval racing and it had every bit the power that my Mamba speedo did (been the choice in 7.5 and 10.5 oval racing). No cogging, no hesitation and lots of power. I have to write my report to SP and ask for a few minor adjustments for 1-2 of the settings but I think it will definatly run with anything out there after these adjustments are made. I was super impressed to say the least.

I am going to do more testing asap as I know everyone out there is looking for the answer if this will run fast on 1S and I want to get the set-ups a little more dialed in before I post them...

Thanks!!
