Hi irgo,

My apologies if I an mistaken, but as I understand it, you have either:

A) Installed another brand of software (HobbyWing, Tekin, LRP) onto your Speed Passion ESC.

or

B) Disconnected your ESC during a PC Speed Passion software update.

Either way, unfortunately the outcome is the same and the repair process is the same:

The USA office does not have reflashing/ESC processor replacement capabilities. That Speed Passion ESC will need to be sent to our Hong Kong headquarters. Please email Mr Benny at: [email protected] for RMA and shipping instructions.

you are Correct, (B) accidentally Disconnected,
and then the ESC is only showing Green Light no blinking.
this meaning that ESC is Fail to Boot, or Hang.

Thanks Shawn Palmer, for your Suggestion.
I Believe You.

The Supercharger software should be out for public beta soon. BUT - as before, please be careful with the settings, as this new software can overdrive and overheat a 10.5 quite easily.

Speed Passion Mac capability - I'll check on that and have an answer soon. There were no plans for it the last time Schumacher USA inquired, but you never know.

Superb .

Glad to hear your back Shawn and Adam, looking forward to seeing the new website

Irgo,

You just don't seem to let it go!!!

However I did something very close to your issue...

The way I fixed this and I not saying it will fix it but worth a try, sounds like you have nothing to loose.

Connect an external power supply normally comes with your Tx to the USB device connect to your PC and SP GT2 and see if that will allow you to update your software, my problems could have been diffrent from you as it just bleeped in a green light but this allowed me to reinstall 205g onto my GT2 and it now rip's up my local track again.

Otherwise dude think you need to send it to HK as I think 3 people have now told you.

Has anyone tried the x-12 with the 107 software and if so how did you end up gearing it compaired to other 17.5's?

Hopefully just a quick question from me:

I've got a GT2.0 and I'm running in the 13.5 Touring class. I currently run a SP v3 motor with it, but am wanting to get another motor for the start of the outdoor season both as a 'spare' and perhaps to give a slightly different power band.

Can anyone recommend a 13.5 that works well with the Stock software in a TC?

Thanks

I'm still begging them for that.

I run XP off a partition on my Mac (bootcamp)

Anyone else have the problem with the timing assembly being able to move in their motor when built (V3)? I have 4 of these motors, and a brand new 4 turn has this issue. The others are fine. The timing is able to be pushed from 0 to 10 degees with ease, i have rebuilt the motor and got it a bit better, but still not perfect. A friend also has the same problem with his 17.5. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Antoni

We had a couple like that, Charlie B was making "decals" to put on the silicon rings to tighten the gap up that works great, not sure if he has any left

Hi Antoni,

Another quick fix is to cut out a "washer" from a business card to snug up the fit.

Whats the default timing on SP V3 motor (mine 11.5T)? Its in the middle now, i just don't know the value actually.

Cain 03-09-2010 07:02 AM

anyone got an ESC setup for 1/10 2wd buggy with a 13.5 motor (ballistic).

Shawn Palmer 03-09-2010 07:41 AM

dameetz: They are about +5deg in the middle.

Cain:
DRRS however you prefer the feel
Lower will feel softer in punch, but will allow faster gear.

Advance however you prefer the feel, and in direct conjunction with gearing for temps
Lower will feel softer in punch, but will allow faster gear.

On a low traction surface for 2wd, I personally the DRRS around 5-6, and the advance around 4-7 depending on exactly how slick it is. Then I gear for best laptimes.

On a high grip track, I like DRRS around 7-8, and then play around with both gearing and advance to give me the feel I want with the best laptimes.

Thanks for the info! I am thinking of using the 110 software since that is supposed to be less punchy on the low end than the 107.
