10,000.00 JPY = 100.591 USD
Japan Yen United States Dollars

Now with shipping cost to the us distributors kit should be $130-$150 usd? May be I am wrong?

My friend you could be correct....but those numbers don't seem correct in "my mind"...why?

Because I'm basing everything from the M03R...it can't be less then that thing!

But hey..if when it comes out and its around 130-150 we'll have enough money to buy two :) one to collect and one to race :)

Tony,

June 28th for the rest of us; when will rc-mini get the new M for an early review/test?

LATC3,

I agree on buying two; I assumed that price due to the fact that it is not and "R". The M05R-Pro will be closer to $200

200 each? That sounds about right for all new FF tamiya...

My brother didn't seem its worth the money but when i mentioned it was all new car nothing carried over from other chassis everything redisigned he thought about it...we're getting one each :)

Ummm, new car? Hmmm - maybe. But i'd reckon there is quiet a few parts carrying over from the 03. And the car itself is very like the M01/02 in terms of layout. It's more of a mix of the M01/2/3/4 thrown together and then calling the result the M05.

My tip - look out for a 4wd version down the track

4WD version of the m05? I believe it. But not to be "cool" about it...but to take care of the competition of the new Minis that have the same layout as all the full 10th scale Touring Cars these days :)

Looks like dual bell crank steering. It should help with the front steering/bump steer and allow ackerman change.

Yep, A huge improvment.

But the direct stearing linkage like the m03 gets it a faster better feel (IMO)

the m03 was over-due for an update.... can't wait!!!

So far What's you're dis-likes?

Hyde 04-20-2009 04:46 PM

I wonder if the stearing is going to be strong.

I remember breaking my stearing system on my m02 back in the say. Since its the almost the same concept i wonder how is it going to hold up..

Hyde 04-22-2009 01:37 PM

I believe the M05Pro is going to be good for the carpet racers. With the shock angle and lower COG making it better for sharper quicker turns also on high traction asphault tracks
