Wow, that's alot of M05 Pros! Any idea on a simultaneous worldwide release? Nice looking box.
|
That's what mini heaven looks like.:nod:
I knew I should have ordered more kits.... |
2 on the way to KC...hopefully by Mon or Tues! Full race shakedown next Sunday the 5th!
|
some pics of the build. notice the new style of connection of the outdrive to the diff and the bearing holder. Also, a separate motor mount suggests an alum one coming:sneaky:

You can almost hear them being made right now! LOL  And those outdrives look to be a different material than the old stock ones. Hopefully, they are made of something a little more durable. Like what ever they make the universals out of. |
Anyone know about swaybars for this kit? I am assuming the M03 bars won't work.
|
I see lots of references to the M05 Pro kit. Is the Pro kit being released before the M05 "basic" version? That seems a bit unusual???
|
Only M05 Pro is out - not to be confused with M05 R
I belive a standard M05 will be out next month (with body etc) R - who knows.....well maybe someone does ? Anyone ? |
The only important difference from the potential non-pro M05 seems to be just the alloy rear hubs and bearings?
|
I had not even considered an "R" version. :)
I'm not crazy about the clear shocks included with the Pro version, and I didn't necessarily want all the alloy parts. I already have a brand new set of the TRF shocks, but I'll need bearings and a Mini body. Guess I'll have to wait and see. :( |
This is coming in approx 4 weeks ( 58438 )
1/10 R/C MINI Cooper Racing (M-05) The distinctive MINI Cooper Racing body is mounted on the new M-05 chassis. The chassis features 3-piece steering linkage as well as low center of gravity design. The 60D radial tires are installed onto the famous 8-spoke design wheels. Requires 2-Channel R/C unit with ESC (sold separately). Length: 315mm |
We had TCS this past weekend and I saw this car. You mini guys are in for a treat... the car has a lot of great features.
|
I would venture to guess that the PRO version is a replacement for the R version. Same idea, new name.
