Dragon: You should have been able to tell by all the complaints here about the new Tamiya, that the real thing wasn't 4wd!

What many people have to realize is that when they stick that favorite body of theirs on that 4wd sedan of theirs, chances are the real thing isn't 4wd. Yet, we hear no complaints about that.

Either way, I know I can't wait to get my F201. I'll drive both that and my regular F1 and see what I think between them.

Should only be a couple more weeks before the new car hits.

Such a beautiful car- I'd almost hate to race mine and watch it slowly get race battered- this kit will be a true collectors item some day. Maybe I'll need to get 2

If you're into collecting F1 kits, I have a NIB Tamiya Tyrrell 6-wheeler kit as well as new in packaging foam tires Tamiya designed for the car, new in packaging extra body set and a partial spare parts kit. E-mail me at [email protected] if interested.

I plan to drive mine from the day I get it put together! If I ever want to display a car, it wont be an RC car!

Since its getting so close to the realease time for the car, I wish Tamiya would release something other than pics for the car. Like a little info on whether it will have a kit motor or not. Will it have full bearings, stuff like that? I can see bearings at the wheel hubs and diff outdrives in the pics they have released, but will this be the case with the production kits?

I want pics and info!

rc-zombies: dang, that page pretty much answered all my question in one swoop!

Good to see that it will included a motor. And its their sport tuned motor at that. Dual ball diffs to go with it. It caught me off gaurd as I was reading the specs when I got to the part about camber and it said variable front AND rear. It was then that it really sunk in that this car has no rear pod at all! Pretty sweet.

Just looking over the car its clear to see that this car was made for the aftermarket companies! Kinda like the T/E-Maxx. Those companies will have a field day making hopups for this car!

Definately tons of hop-up potenial.
First on my list to get is a front one-way diff.

I'll have to see how it handles before I go for a front one-way. Especially considering the car is an open wheel design. I don't see one-way bearings lasting long with the shunts those exposed front wheels could take.

It looks to me like the car uses dogbones all around, so one of the first things I would like to do is replace the front dogbones with universals.
