Default Need a new 10.5 motor

My Team Orion 10.5 that was only 3 months old, gave up the smoke. I have had 3 of them the last a 2008 race. I don't know what happen the ESC is fine. I have decided to go with a different one. I am looking at Speedpassion and Tekin. What are you using? This will go in my TC5.

Novak makes a pretty good 10.5 also. Plus they offer more RPM then the Orion motors do.

I think it changed because a lot of tracks still offer the 10.5 as the 19t equivalent.

Novak 10.5 is always a good one.. used and abused mine for just over a year now and no problems..

I've also heard good things about the new Hacker 10.5! which seemed to be as fast as an orion but as strong as a novak.

The Trinity Duo is probably the best motor I have run to date. The cooling is great and it seems to run forever (with a little maintiance). The Novaks are a little bit faster, but they don't last as long as I would like them to, and don't have as smooth of a power band.

Check out www.express-motorsports.net for the Duo's

I am not sure about this case, as i heard from someguys around said: Orion modified 10.5 has just got 3100KV, comparing with LRP X11 stock which has got 3800 KV.
Not only low power for Orion 10.5, maybe also less reliability!

I'd go with a Novak 10.5. I have two of them and had no issues. I also have a Losi 10.5 Xcelorin that I run in my vintage runner. I have seen newer motors with built-in fans. I'm looking to try those out too.

What about the Speedpassion 10,5R? Is it faster or less fast than a lrp x11 Stock Spec 10,5R? Any experience?

At our track Tekin Redline are the motors to beat. They are very fast and the tech/customer support is the best.
