Mike,

You beat me there

That is why I am using the RcManiax spool, it's light weight and it will last forever!! Just have to replace the blades once in a while and they are very cheap.....

Good point Eirik. Most the tracks we run on are really tight with lots of turns. I can see how the spool would be great on big sweeping tracks. Just some food for thought for all the boys out there.

Has anyone had a problem with the TRF shock pistons becoming distorted? i rebuilt my shocks last night, and noticed that the piston was binding in the shock body, i pulled the shaft out, and you can see that the piston is no longer flat, it has a wave accross its width. end result is that the damping feels heavier than it should be.

A big crash could cause this. Generally everytime I rebuild my shock I will check the pistons and replace them if necessary.

I can understand this if they were bent or cracked, but they look like they have been softened or started to dissolve becoming distorted.

Oh well i guess just replace them, and monitor the shock internals

EA's 415 was a rocket last year at the Tamiya TCS race, so with better tires I would imagine it's the ticket. Why don't you email him?
