i dont think that'd work (or atleast i cant see how), part # 4034010 is the graphite plate which the flanged bearings mount into which connects both steering arms together and mounts the inboard ball connectors of the steering links...

This is what I ended up using. A little nicer.

The bulkheads sit lower also, beacause of the 2.6mm chassis

Not technically true, as the shock mounts and the bulkheads are all mounted on the top face of the chassis.
Depends where you take the reference from.. from the top of the chassis plate, no they are the same (baring the smaller height of the tower itself).
from the road, yes, as the thinner chassis is taken into account.

Still asking the question, because no one has answered it yet. Is there a difference in the MS frt bulkhead VS the Standard .?? There are two dedicated part #'s. Is the MS Shorter overall height?

The only difference between the bulkheads are the mounts for the chasis are thinner so they don't rub on the arms. If you put the lightweight suspension on the 415 you had to cut the arms so they didn't rub. Plus the have the letters MS stamped on the side.

Default Diff. Ball Size

Can anybody tell me the size of the diff. balls for the 415? I'm looking to upgrade to ceramic and need to know the size. Thanks.

I just got a set of the acer ceramic diff balls, looks like really good quality, when my MS kits arrive on Wednesday I'll build up the diff first and let you guys know how smooth they are. Even new, the stock ones had a little gritty feeling to them.

Ceramic diff bearings feel really good when first built. But unless you have a way of sealing the dirt out of the diff pulley, and have a ceramic thrust bearing and a way of keeping dirt out of that as well, you may be disappointed with how long they last. Lately, I've been using the "lightweight" balls from Tamiya...They only cost a few bucks and you get 20 balls. But when a big race comes up...ya, I'll be bustin out the good stuff.

i am using the acer ceramic diff balls and they are really smooth the only thing is there is no ceramic thrust bearing for the tamiya cars which kind of sucks .
