Kilruf,
The race in MD, on the 29th. No I am not talking about that. I am talking about the race at Hobbychamber.com on the 2nd. We also have the innaugural January Jams hosted by RcMadness.com. But I may make the MD race too.. You should come to the 2nd race, but NC is 11hrs away from me. Sort of a major COMMITMENT for a trophy race. BUT, the track is the home of the '05 ROAR carpet Nat's, are you all coming for that???

Okay, maybe we'll see ya on the 29th.. hehe. I doubt we'll be making the Carpet Nats. I think some of the guys are saving vacation time for the Roar Onroad Paved Nats in Florida in October. Plus vacation time for the Snowbirds. Also, but not sure... I think the Carpet Nats are right around the time of the TCS race in PA (RCO). So a few of us are heading to that as well.

Concerning your shocks...
We have ended up with MUCH softer setups (carpet w/ foams) here in Georgia. Kumpol and myself both prefer the AE Gold spring and a Wolfe spring (in between AE Red and Copper) in the front. A couple of others here are just running the AE Copper up front. We also prefer the 3 hole pistons with 50wt front and 40wt rear. If you have not tested a softer setup, I suggest you give it a try.

After numerous shock setting changes I have settled on the following:
3 hole pistons (all shocks)
50 lb. Associated shock oil (all shocks)
Associated Yellow springs (front)
Associated Purple springs (rear)

on the back i use the yellow springs on the back with n anti roll bar and the shocks are mounted on the 2nd hole in[old shock tower].
on the front i have no anti roll bar with blue springs.
ive got 35 weight shock oil on the front with 30 on the back.
everything else is kit settings.
i still have a tad too much steering.
but these are quite soft.
as other ppl said.
