Default What Parts ahould I stock up on>>>?

I'm looking to purchase a new 415 MSX MRE. I'm wondering what parts are most prone to breakage on the car - and what I should stock up on?

Arms?
C-Hubs?
Steering Blocks?

I would get the Arms, C-Hubs, Knuckles, and replace the aluminum steering turnbuckles to steel or titanium ones. I would also replace the aluminum ball ends on the knuckle to the Tamiya gold ones. Those are made from steel. Also get a shim set, to remove play in many places.

I bought a spool for my MSX, do I need a new centre pulley? or can I just install the spool and use my one way centre pulley?

You'll need a fixed centre pulley if you want full time 4WD.

I really like the MRE and don't need the MSX anymore....

I'd replace the front axles on the MRE as well, with steel ones

Talking Carpet set-up

Fellow racers,
I'm looking for a good set-up for carpet using rubber tires. RP's mostly.
I got a couple of tips from previous posts and saw the Mark set-up online but this is with Foam tires so I would like a complete set-up for carpet.
I have the MSX using the 3mm chassis. Come on now all you Nor Cal guys up there! You know who I'm talking about. Past TCS champions, etc. etc.
I'm hoping to get responses from back east would be nice and the U.K.!
All suggestion will be appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
A loyal Tamiya racer!

Is it possible to convert a MSX into a MRE?
As far as I can tell, I need to get the chasis (top and bottom), the complete steering system an the front and middle new pulley system.

How about the rear bulkhead? Are they the same on the MSX minus the top heatsink brace?
Also are the belts the same?

Any input is very much appreciated. Thanks.

The major parts you just mentioned are correct (don't forget the 42mm tie rods & steering tie rod too). For the rear bulkhead, they're the same except the heat sink w/c you can purchase thru some ebay stores in Asia.

The rest are just minor parts that are already released as Hop-up parts by Tamiya.

You may want to get the belts from the MRE as well for the new pullies.

It would be cheaper to just buy the complete kit.
