Ok people got a question about the ackerman on the MRE. I am wondering what the effect of taking shims behind the ball stud out (moving the stud backwards) and also adding shims behind the ball stud (moving the stud forward).

Cheers, Charles

Cheers, Charles
Removing the shims gives more ackerman, adding the gives less.
More ackerman make the steering more aggressive, reducing it makes it smoother. A quick way to try is by moving the ball joints on the steering hub. The shims are more of a fine tune method than moving the ball joint.

Guys, the tamiya adjusters are so hard to clip in and out. Is that normal or I am doing it incorrectly? Especially the ones clipped to the stabilizers since the area is small.

Wrong guess the turnbuckles really are 62mm on the MRE and Tamiya don't make a Ti version of them, but Yokomo does...

Errr...no Fab. They ARE 42mm on the MRe and Evo5.
Tma doesn't make Ti versions, so your correct there.

As long as there is no bind once they are on they should be fine. The tighter they are going on, the harder it will be for them to accidentally pop off on the track.
