Finally got my TC3 back together, pics inside
Well this car started out its life as a budget $120.00 car I got off ebay.
It came with a pancar, rooster, airtronics radio, and a bunch of other goodies.
The car had 200mm conversion done but only in rear, this was first on my list of things to change.
It came with the whole 200mm kit but I wanted it back to stock.
The kit already had full ball bearings, titanium turnbuckles, and some other hop-ups.
From what I can tell it was a factory version and I just started converting it over to factory team.
The car was 100% graphite, no plastic parts "except the bumper I bought.
I dont know if this is normal or not becuase I got a ton of extra parts with the car and they where all plastic
Dont let the pretty blue fool ya, its not aluminum !
Here is what it looked like when I got it
I Like the graphite but I didnt like the way it looked, the plastic parts where nice and shiney black while the graphite was dull grey.
I painted the top half of the tub with metallic black paint, not the bottom though since it would only get ruined.
All the rest is anodized blue
Kyosho rims, Kyosho soft slick tires
Car is all setup to street TC3 specs but has a 3/4" ride height instead of 1/2" for extra crack and peble clearance.

Jeeezus... ya think ya got enough preload on those springs there? That must bounce down the road like a mexican in a 64!

LOL, I use to for ride height, if you notice my car sits close to 1" high.
Its for street use and we have some big cracks around here, as far as bounce goes it actually stays pretty flat and handles quite well.

The body should protect it all pretty well, its not like I'm gonna be rolling this thing down hills
I just couldnt stand the way it looked before, even after thurough cleaning it still looked like a 20 yr old beat up car.

the car you bought of ebay had the rally conversion kit which made the car wider i guess the origional owner broke an arm and replaced the fron one with the 190mm set, dead give away are the pinspike tires on the origional pics.

I just figured I would change it back to the way it came, the rear tires used to stick out of my bodies which was another push towards rebuilding it.

i'll take rally donations if you dont want them! seriously if you dont need the parts i'll take them i'd like to convert one of my tc3 into a rally car!

There where a couple parts with stripped screws and they were replaced.
All the stuff I ordered was mostly little stuff, tc3 blue screw set
Servo horns "guy had the wrong horn on the servo"
Servo mounts " guy had the wrong mounts on the servo"
Ballcups
new body mounts posts, font and rear
new front bumper and foam
1 front A-arm and 2 rear A-arms
Tires and Rims
and some other misc stuff.
I really like the car, I showed it off to some of my freinds who have never seen it before and they went on for a little while on how cool it was.
Before if I showed to to someone they where more like "oh yeah rc car, now what was it we where talking about"
I think the accenting helps show off the drivetrain and suspension
It took a couple days of work because of all the painting, the most important factor imo is that I am extremely happy with it.
I would have bought this car for much more the way it is now then when I got it.
It was only looks when I got it, the car also handled and drove like total crap, there where so many contributing factors and just plain out neglect that I didnt want to fix one of two things I just wanted to rip it down to nothing and rebuild the whole car.
and thats what I did
