I'd have to say the Xray, only because the track where I race and the shop near my house both carry Xray parts.

neither, part support is going to start to dwindle. Fk05 is based on T1 suspension, the T2 is now onto there 4th chassis model. My local shop got stuck with a bunch of T1 parts but if you look online few shops carry T1 parts anymore.

Tamiya well i wont comment. Other then it may have more in common wiht the 416 then the 05 does with the 07,08 or 09 cars

Unless your getting either car really cheap(under 100$) i would look for something newer

Stormer, The RC Shack, and Ampdraw Hobbies have excellent parts support for the T1 series. For the price an 05 is going for now you can pick up 2 complete cars cheap anyway.

Well I went with the Xray. The parts seem easier to get a hold of. And the kits seem top quality!

as long as u can get parts and/or dont break stuff. they all should serve well. shame they have to stop makin em to push us into new product. but we all know they need to eat too (perhaps a lil too well--and their private jets need to eat as well).

good luck

I've had and raced with both, the FK05 was a PITA, the MSX, that was a great car for me, set a lot of my best times with that.

But it's personal choice, some people swear by X-Ray, personally I won't go there again, but it's all dependant on the person.

In 20+ years of being in this hobby I have owned/built/worked on/driven just about every manufacturer's stuff, and IMO nothing can touch XRay in terms of fit, finish, and overall precision. Yes, they introduce new kits every year...yes, just about anything with an XRay logo on is pricey...but everything with an XRay logo on it is top-shelf. You won't be dissappointed.

Amen brother

Xray has a 110% support of all there old kits if your local hobby store doesn't have what you need just order it very easy. I had the first T2 for a year then went back to the FK05 after E-Mailing Xray to make sure that they would support ther old kits
