A small hit to the wallet for starting in VTA

Tell that to guys still trying to run 17.5 and 27t 4 cell... I got into T/A because it was going to be "cheap" and I could use some of the older things I had remaining after most of my RC stuff was stolen. Going from horrible IB cells to Ener G cells then to lipo, from 27T to 17.5 to 21.5, and purchasing a ESC that is now virtually useless only to purchase a brushless ESC has made this anything but cheap. In my case at least it would have been a hell of a lot cheaper to just jump back into TC 13.5. Simply put, if you want to be competitive in VTA it's still going to cost you a bit.

I don't think it's dicey at all. ROAR is using USVTA rules, ROAR is not taking over USVTA and can't mandate any changes except at a ROAR event. ROAR can't stipulate a brand for equipment, but the only people not running the Novak 21.5 or the HPI tires and wheels we be those that don't normally race USVTA anyway.

When this hits and if it is good I will switch to brushless, this is the price point it needs to be at for a fun club racer on a budget.

As far as performance, I just ran the Novak 21.5 with the Novak XBR speedo, which I believe is about equivalent to the Havoc (both entry/sport level) and felt it was a great combo. I expect no less of the Havoc/21.5.
