Usually a good true fast rule, however. it does not seem to apply in the USVTA.

Tell that to guys still trying to run 17.5 and 27t 4 cell... I got into T/A because it was going to be "cheap" and I could use some of the older things I had remaining after most of my RC stuff was stolen. Going from horrible IB cells to Ener G cells then to lipo, from 27T to 17.5 to 21.5, and purchasing a ESC that is now virtually useless only to purchase a brushless ESC has made this anything but cheap. In my case at least it would have been a hell of a lot cheaper to just jump back into TC 13.5. Simply put, if you want to be competitive in VTA it's still going to cost you a bit.

+1. Stop this ridiculous spouting about the ROAR non-issue.

Tires last a long time on carpet, and when they get too grippy for carpet, put them away for asphalt. Then run them until they fall off the rim. It works

Havoc 21.5ss ESC/Motor bundle- 150.00
Anyone know when this little item is going to be out? Just what I am looking for, as well as the 17.5 bundle for other cars.

When this hits and if it is good I will switch to brushless, this is the price point it needs to be at for a fun club racer on a budget.

I'm sure it won't be long -- they've been selling the Havoc for a while with the 8.5, and the 21.5 motor isn't anything new either, so I guess it's down to how long it takes to get new packaging printed and then box 'em up!

As far as performance, I just ran the Novak 21.5 with the Novak XBR speedo, which I believe is about equivalent to the Havoc (both entry/sport level) and felt it was a great combo. I expect no less of the Havoc/21.5.

Eventually, the car will want to traction roll. It usually takes at least a good month and a half of running every week. If you use Jack, it might take longer.
