JC - the motor mount appears to only work w/ the new A700-C01AL-S and A700-C01AL-S2 chassis.
New motor mount has four flex modes.
At Mode 3 and Mode 4 the using of AM69 battery holder is not important and new motor mount can be installed without AM69 on C01, C01L, C01EX, C01AL and C01AL-H chassis also.
You can also use new motor mount even at Mode 1 and Mode 2 without AM69 on these chassis with losing of few percents of flex symmetry.
Furthermore you can install AM69 even on C01, C01L and C01EX chassis and get all flex modes after very simple filing of the chassis edge under AM69 leg.

Hi, i have a problem with AM49-3. When i use it with am33-5 stiffener, my AT31 FFG Alloy Rod is completely stuck.
If i use AM49 long ffg tower, alloy rod moves freely, but i can't install am33-5 stiffener.
This happen on my C01AL-S chassis.
It's safe to run without stiffener? Or there is a way to unstuck alloy rod with am49-3?

i don't know what 'stuck' means. the the AM49-3 + AM33 higher? lower? you're going to have to use a caliper to try and understand what is going wrong. you'll need to measure the height differences.

you can run without the AM49 if you have a top deck c21 installed.

One possibility...
By chance are you mounting the awesomatix servo in the center ? If so, make sure your screws holding the awesomatix servo are short ( I believe 5mm ) so they won't run into am33-5.

Hello everybody,

I tried the new car last weekend, and i have to say that it's a big improvement !!

The new dampers are amazing with hard spring. I tried many setup and i prefer it with a softer seeting (like 5.4 in front and 5.0 in rear).

The new chassi with the new motor mount are very easy to use, very simple to change the Mode. I tried also every mode and i prefer the mode 3.

For me the car is now easier to drive and more consistent during 5 minutes.
I noticed that the car has also more mid-corner steering.

I can share my setup if you want (high grip track and CPX tires)

Thank you, i mean the alloy rod doesn't move freely, its almost blocked. AM46-1 drag on AM54-1. I will try to measure the height of the AM49 and AM49-3 + AM33 but i think that short tower is a little lower.

Thanks but i'm using am24 servo holder, so i have to use it on offset position with am33-5.

I had the exact same issue. I ended up just placing a thin shim under AM49-3 where it connects to the AM33-5 stiffener, making AM49-3 sit just a little higher when connected to the stiffener. The alloy FFG rod was basically pressed up against the top flange of AM49-3, which bound up the FFG movement. The shim alleviated this, allowing the FFG to move as it should.

I had to mill the center brace to run the Awesomatix servo. The ear on the servo was thicker than the notch milled in the bottom of the stiffener. Also had to mill .75mm from the side of the stiffenenr as the offset of the servo didn't clear the side of the stiffener.

Just measured AM49:

Original AM49 is 30,85mm and AM49-3 + AM33-5 is 30,5mm.
I added 0,3 mm shim under AM49-3, and i found that, using most rearward mounting hole on AM33-5, FFG moves more freely. Now is very smooth

At04-2 is designed to remove the am48 bearings on an FFG. You could replace the am48 with am50.

Top deck removes the effect of the collars (am48/50) on the FFG. I wouldn't run without the tower brace (am49) though....

If you have any suggestions on how to make it simpler pls speak up. We are trying to recommend names to Oleg right now for the new parts.
