They are for the rear to hold the diff in if you chose not to use the am19 plates. Generally though most setups use the am19 link locations

I got my evo2 out today for the first time. Things went well all things considered. It's going to take some getting use to for sure. I made some adjustments throughout the afternoon and had the car handling pretty well by the end.
Any tips on an easy way to set droop?

This thread has more page views than even the TC4 thread, and that thread started before Gee was born.

Anyone running PRS pro-lite spur gears? I like their pinions but never tried the spurs. Will the Xenon VSS spurs work well also?

That's because of the "BERT" positive effect... Nobody listened to him back then when he said the Awesomatix was going to blow up... Now the car is one stop(mod) away from world domination... Bravo Oleg !!! Bravo BERT, Hanulec,Gee, etc....
The tc4 thread also got a boost with the BERT+ effect...

Default Awesomatix is simply awesome

I recently picked up a used A700L and went through the chassis about 3 weeks ago. A few things needed to be redone or put back to stock. I am using the chassis for USGT at my local track which is approx. 40 x 65 low to medium grip. I have started off with a Larry Faitrace setup and all that I have to say is wow this chassis is Awesome. It carries so much corner speed that my lap times keep getting better and better as I learn that I can can keep going faster than I thought I could. Looking forward to racing every weekend and seeing how much more I can push the chassis. I am having an awesome time with this and my reintroduction to touring car racing after racing 12th scale for about a year or so. Just wanted to say that the chassis simply lives up to it name Awesomatix. Is it Friday yet?? Drivers in less than 5.

Agreed with Aquaracer. This car alone made me want to get back into RC racing again after a long hiatus. The car is truly inspiring.

Regarding the spur gear discussion; Since I run 17.5 blinky I have to gear super tall, and I had issues finding spurs small enough that fit properly. If anyone else is looking for small spurs for stock classes, I found that Robinson Racing Super Machined gears worked and fit the best. With the two small holes near the center of the gear to match up with the notches on AT20, its like theses gears were made for our cars.

I'm sure there are a lot of other brands out there that work great, just wanted to throw in my favorite and possibly take some guess work out for other stock racers.

I don't know how you got the robinsons super spurs to work, the ones I have bought have tremendous runout, they went right in the trash can. I'll stick with the vss xenon.

Anybody know when the Evo 2's will be back in stock at Awesomatix USA? I think I just might have to invest in one.

Not sure if I'm doing something special, or if I simply haven't put enough runs on them. I've put 3 solid race days (and 3 accompanying practice days) on a Robinson spur with Trinity pinions without any noticeable signs of wear.

That being said, I'm always looking for something better than what I currently like. Is this a good place to buy the Xenon gears? http://xenon.ocnk.net
