Hi, closer to getting this evo kit but would like to know what spur and gearing you recommend. Longitude motor mount, 21.5 blinky and at track they tell me 4.1 fdr. 48p so looking at the chart i came up with spur 65t and pinion 33t. Does this sound about right? Also which brand spurs fit? Can only seem to find Kawada Spurs in that size atm?

4.1 FDR with 21.5? That sounds wrong. That is the gearing I run in 13.5 blinky.

Don't be afraid to run 64p. In 17.5 I run a 78t spur and 13.5 an 84t spur.

When i ran USGT I geared around a 3.3 FDR. You can start lower with 4.1 but i'm guessing you'll end up around 3.5-3.1. When testing gearing remember to only run for 3 min and temp the motor. If 130F or less after this time range you can probably gear up a tooth and run again.

ok, so for 21.5 blinky, what spur pinion combo do you recommend in 64p? And what brand spur?

Any spur should work.

A 78 spur will give you a 4.2 to 3.2 FDR range. Start low 4.0 and go higher if motor is running cool.

Gosh. The car is future-proof until 2020 and yet Oleg keeps on providing us BEST optional tuning-parts. Honestly, I can't ask for more but to improve my skills (driving).

It's ARS, and Awesomatix didn't invent it, nor am I claiming XRAY did. :-)
