Guys,
Assembled my GD2 for the first time last night with the Shepherd metal gears. First assembled without oil to make sure the fit is good. Everything was OK until I fully tightened the diff halves, then the diff was locked. Triple checked everything, the diff halves spin nicely with the internal gears when separate, they also spin nicely during attachment of each diff halve (ensuring the gears are aligned), but when performing the final tightening of the halves, the diff is locked.
I'm wondering whether I should omit the spacers behind the two larger internal gears? Has anyone else experienced this when assembling GD2 with Shepherd gear combo.
Appreciate!

This thing looks really nice
Oleg,
can you tell us the performances of the servo? Will it be available with engraved name?
And will it also be available thru Shepherd or only through the Awesomatix online store?

How about filling the gear diff....I read about some extravagant methods to fill the diff up via syringes, extracting the air and sucking in the fluid...what about normal, manual filling of the half diff? How much fluid? I couldn't find any fill limit mark as per GD1 instructions.
Thanks!

Looking at the picture, it seems like to me that these shims are the same than the 0.1mm shims supplied with the car kit
