i also think we have a good understanding of what to do for the A700L and A700EXL cars on asphalt. we are just about to start the asphalt season in the US with our A700 Evo cars -- so we will soon know what really makes them run. we should have a high level of confidence by the time the team rolls into the Reedy Race...

Hi Guys, I have has a lot of success with this setup on a high grip asphalt track (indoor). Depending on how technical the layout I sometimes prefer the top deck on. The front diff seems to make the car more forgiving on the curbs.
Cheers, Tom D.

We will be fine! With the larger group attending and Tony on the team, we should be able to come up with something. Reedy race at Tamiya USA and shaft drive have a great history together!

Has anyone tried something like Viljami's set up from LRP TCM? Ie AM06S at the front and AM06 at the rear? Was Freddy and Oliver also using this kind of set up? Is Oliver's stock set up sheet from LRP TCM available anywhere?

Edit: Forgot to mention I tried ECS rear drive shafts, it made a small difference to rotation but also made the car feel a little more easy to drive and not so aggressive. My car now has excellent entry steering, OK exit steering but still sucks a bit mid corner =/

Thanks to awesomeatix USA for the setups and support, my car is getting close, looking forward to the outdoor season.

Mike Gee's car is ridiculous, it might need a nickname like the decimatrix

i don't know if there was a race video or not -- but Gee had us all covered yesterday in 17.5 TC. I tried to make things interesting w/ Haynes on the last lap but need about 30 more seconds.

everyone's luck in modified wasn't as great though--

I have noticed a lot of you guys running your batteries with the plugs in the rear. What difference does this make? The top deck of the A700 has a notch for the plugs to go in the front so I never tried it the other way and just assumed this was the way I should run the car. I know the EVO the top deck doesn't get in the way of the plugs, but I thought I saw people doing this with the L and EX.
