It's from the Serpent/AMB/Corally/Hudy family of oddball designs from the early 90's...can't remember the exact name but I owned one of them. The batteries get glued into trays that screw into the chassis. If I remember correctly, it's supposed to be a 200mm car but was actually so wide that only their proprietary Porsche body actually fit it. The body posts had little hinge thingies on top that folded over to secure the body instead of body pins, and mine had sway bars that worked very much like the Serpent ones do now. And I seem to remember that the gearing thing was a major hassle with the belt pulleys. Very heavy car, but kinda cool with all that metal.

It's a Serpent Tenforce from around 1991. Quite rare now as they weren't very popular even back then! Luckily I have 2 of the suckers.
A unique and innovative car but didn't really fit into any category as Doc says.
