Avoiding Radio "Hits"
Guys;
This past weekend I had a problem with Radio hits from someone on an adjacent channel. I even recently went to a 9 cell NiMh pack to increase signal strength, so this was unexpected.
Moving on the Drivers stand was not an option as the other Driver came to the stand just as the race started.
I have seen on the R/C Aircraft threads that some people have
recommended plugging in a cut off charge cord to extend range and signal strength.
Anyone else have experience with this?
Thanks,

I always use the same brand of receiver and transmitter (futaba in my case) after a couple of bad intereference experiences.

Radio Hits
Trinityracinnut;
I do not think it is a dirty radio problem as his radio is very new and is using crystals.
RCBuddha;
Actually what happened was this driver was late coming to the starting line, so he stood on a platform in front of the drivers stand. This happened to be directly in front of me and we were only one channel apart. He was in another heat in qualifiying, so the problem did not surface until the Main and after the race had started.
(this also kept me from finishing in 1st place)
I am running a 9 cell NiMh pack, so the average voltage is the same or better than 8 Alkalines.

Pops,
Here are some more ideas:
1. Try running your receiver wire at full length; you'll have to get an airplane cable tube and trim the bottom to fit, but your antenna wire will be fully in the air.
2. Since your voltage is good, nevermind my previous post
3. Receiver pack (which you tried)
4. Make the other guy switch frequencies
5. You switch frequencies
6. if you have an M8, get novak's synth module and receiver
7. New Crystals
8. New receiver
Other than that, burn incense and pray to the R/C Gods
Buddha
