Thank you,
I even wired the LiPO from individual cells. I would have solderd the cells in RX pack too but for $7, I didn't mind it coming completed. . Still a few things left like Carbon Fiber Sticker for the LiPO Pack and rasing the O-ring snap stand-offs with a 6mm spacer so the O-ring will not pop off. I still need to paint a new body and buy some new body post.

Nicely done! What class are you racing and where did you get the cells to make the pack? Here is Oz there is only mod 12th so keeping up with 4 cell 5.5s is going to be a stretch with any of the available 3.7v lipos. 6300mah on the other hand should be plenty to propel a low wind motor (a 3.5 @ 3.7v should keep up with the 4.8v 5.5 I'm told) for 8 mins, that C rating might not work in mod tho
I'll have one of the local guys GFX my pack at 30 or 35A.

I ran single cell with a 3.5 Novak a couple years ago. The 10C pack I was using worked fine and ran 8 minutes easily.
I have 35A numbers from my SMC pack at home so maybe I'll post them when I get a chance.
Your average current with a 4000 pack will need to be less than 35 amps to make time in 12th. Some of the peak currents will be pretty high in mod but I didn't see any problems with the pack I had.

yep, the jr 3650 (and also the 3550) are excellent servos perfectly suited for 1/12th. only drawback, they are narrower than most others and so some cars are not predrilled to fit them. The notable exception is the CRC cars which are designed for jr servos. they also drill their chassis for the spacing of the more standard sized servos such as futabas, but the preferred choice for CRC cars is actually the jr's.

I got to see my first single cell car run wed. He was running a smc pack with 13.5 motor. The other two cars were 17.5/4 cell. One had 3700 and the other 4600's. The 4 cell cars crushed the lipo on the infield and had just a touch more topend. 1 min in the round cells settled down and they all had the same top end but they still left the lipo for dead in the infield. 6 mins they slowed to the same pace. The last 1.5 mins the lipo had the advantage on the infield and maybe a touch down the straight. And enough to really reel them in at the end.
From what I saw
PRO's: the same power from start to finish
CON's: Needs more punch.
Maybe a 10.5 would be a better match ??

did you run with a receiver pack or voltage booster? if so, which one?
what speedo?
what 13.5T motor?
i'm about to kick off some 1c SMC testing today in both 1/12th and WorldGT trying receiver packs and voltage boosters (my LVBoost from dimensionengineering just showed up).
