Default Keyence Zero Extreme ??

I just ordered a Zero Extreme and I am confused about what the difference is between the 2002 and an EX. The individual that I talked to had a 2002 and the other, they were the same price but the 2002 had banana plugs instead of soldering tabs. This shop sells a ton of these so I am assuming it is the most recent version. Can someone enlighten me please.

Thanks

Eric

Hmm interesting. I have the Extreme V with 2002 sticker. Anyways, the specs are the same on the Zero V Extreme and Zero V Ex-C. It just specifies JRM spec or European spec connectors (banana plug.)

Default been there

Yep i have seen that already....actually that is causing some of the confusion. It shows a 2002 sticker on both speedos. I have been told that the 2002 has terminals while the regular has soldering tabs...that website shows differently.

I'm sure they are both the same, with the exeption of either plugs or direct solder.

I agree with Matt - The difference appears to be the manner in which the wires are connected to the ESC.

That's the first ESC I've seen with that plug type connection. It seems that I'd be easier to change wires when necessary, rather than sending it back to the factory as they suggest with the other one.

I and everyone that I know that has/have tried one really likes them, especially the Zero Extreme. In the US I've heard of the prices ranging from $175 - $200. I bought mine from a local hobby shop, so you can guess that it wasn't $175.=)

Hey John: The GM V-12 line of ESC's also offer that type of mount for the wires. I think that it's a good idea.

Hey Geppetto

I wonder if there are any advantages regarding electrical efficiency with either configuration. Does anyone know? Wish I knew I had the option.=)
