Default Xray T2/007/008 differences

I am currently looking to upgrade to a better chassis from my pro4 and am looking into the xray line of cars. I have found a pretty cheap Xray T2 and was wondering what the differences between the T2 to the 007 and to the 008 are and if its possible to upgrade it. This is for a rubber car if that matters at all

So can a T2 be upgraded to a 007? And if so what parts are needed?

Not really. The bulkheads, top deck, lower chassis, shock towers, etc... are all different. It is cheaper to sell the T2 and get a '007 if that's what you want.

Shadow you cant go wrong with the 007 EU kit, most of us that you run with at Primetime run that chassis and are very competitive. Only like 4 guys are running the 008

Yes you can upgrade a T2 to a 007. Xray offers a conversion kit for both EU & US Spec.

EU Spec
US Spec

It would prolly be a lot cheaper in the long run to just get a used 007 then upgrading a used T2.

yeah since i unloaded my nitro car today i am looking to upgrade my touring car. Just checking my options right now and gathering info. Right now its between a xray because nexus is close, Cyclone because i already have a Pro4 and parts interchange...and a TC5 just because i have always liked associated products

Ok i found a 007 in my price range but the problem is that its a US spec car and i run rubber. is it worth it to convert to the EU or should i just keep waiting for a EU spec car to come around? And if its worth it to convert what would i need to do so?

You really only need the chassis, upper deck, possibly some 2 or 4 degree C hubs, and a multi diff or spool. I run my 007 US as a EU with all the XH parts and have had no issues.
