7700Mamba Max motor on TT01, need help
 

Hi, I bought a 7700kvMM to fit on my TT01.. and.. I don't know what pinion and spur to use.

I wish to have long run time, I don't need to accelerate pretty fast..

What would be the best mix for me

I have the stock 61t spur.. an 58 and a 55 one,

I have a 19, 20 and 21t pinions

I have a 4200mh intellect 6 cells.

What are the best mix for me?

Oh and any TT01 owner tried the 7700 on the car? Is it going to break the f$?&*%? up?

Holy crap man... Good luck with the 7700 motor.

I have a 6900 motor that I dropped into a TT-01 with all stock drivetrain except an aluminum driveshaft (A MUST for anything more than silver can). It held up decently until I crashed into a wall... and shattered both left knuckles and a dogbone.

I would suggest 19:61. Make sure you set your timing to 0 degrees, and punch control right so that the temp will be low.

OR you can run it as is with that gearing, and see your temps. What kind of driving do you do?


MAKE SURE you tighten all the screws and that the motor is fully on the motor mount. You have a metal mount, right?

Well.. I do have a aluminium shaft, and full ball bearings. But I don't have a metal motor mount.

My kind of driving hmm.. I'd say doing straight line in the street... nothing special yet.

Okay, I would get a metal motor mount, and heatsink if you don't have one already.

While you are trying this, if you hear any sort of grinding don't gas it too hard, and open up the gear case immediately. A grinding sound means that you are stripping a spur usually...so be careful.
