You can make Tamiya knuckles work but you have to use the Tamiya C-hubs also. I also think you can make Xray knuckles work but I don't know what it takes.

Other things I have on my car:

Tamiya 416 rear upper bulkheads
Yokomo BD rear ball diff

Thanks for this info. About the rear upper bulkheads, do you mean Tamiya part no. 3454532 + 3454533 ? Are these interchangeable with Serpent parts 401006 + 401007? Any adjustments needed?

This might save my day. I brooke both of them at the track today

Is there a lot of people still running this car..? I have a really nice trade offer for one but was debating on picking it up due to parts, etc. Stormer Racing Hobbies seems to have quite a few parts in stock so...

hi guys. i am now running til tamiya 416WE but, i can still help with what parts that fit om on the S400.
the 3 time danish champion Nicolai Nielsen i also running in my club and we offen talk about the part problem.

he is running tamiya 416 parts from the blocks and out. that includes the swingarms, knokles, c-hubs rear, uprights and driveshafts. he have a custom made spool, the tamiya cups fits on. running a custom made centerpulley where the xray pulley fits on. new front and rear belt, dont know what manefacture. the long topdeck. he have not yeat tested the tamiya 416 block, but thinks they will be put on soon.

i think thats about it.

Serpent is not making parts for the car, period. It doesn't matter if you are a team driver or not. What else is the guy supposed to do?

kschu:
the sperpent S400 is mostly a copy of the tamiya 415, so why not use tamiya parts now when serpent don't produces parts any more.

m-technic:
so true, and he is so faithful to serpent that he just not swith to another brand. but, its beginning to be a problem with the carbon and alu parts on the car. so i hope that serpent soon will make a new car.

Nope, i was checking the same thing and found this ebay linsting with a good pic of the bulkhead:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/3454532-Tamiya...item45ed019ead

And that is completely different from the Serpent ones.

I ran the Tamiya bulkheads on my Serpent. They were different but they worked. The only modification needed was putting shims between the lower and upper bulkhead. You also have to elongate the bottom two holes on the shock tower slightly. I believe the shims used were 1.5mm.

Pictured here you can also see me using the 46mm Tamiya aluminum driveshafts and Xray rear uprights.

To use the Xray uprights you also have to use the Xray axles, right ? Or will Serpent's work ?

Thanks
