I've never ran MOD before but will be attempting it this week.

What FDR would be a good starting point for a TC with 6.0 mtr on a 95x42' track with slow infield?

I'm using a R1 Pro of all things. Bought it when Tekin first released this ESC and the trade in program was weak for an RS so i kept it.

You really want that hair style? (I actually do know him so I can get away with comments like that.)

Default Tekin RS w/Epic D3 10.5 boosted

Looking for an initial starting template for running TC on a 120x60ft track with a long sweeping straight. Car is a TRF416x with Tekin RS and Epic D3 10.5 running boosted mod. FDR is ~7.2 currently.

First time running mod and boost so would like a baseline to start from. Thanks in advance.

Yes, I know what you mean. I've known Elliott a few years now and he's absolutely awesome to watch, especially in 12th scale modified.

Default 10.5T & RS Pro Setup

Hello all

I'm racing with 4WD 2cell Touring car on an asphalt 120x60 feet track (lap times around 12s) and I'm lack of bottom end power, everybody is faster than me in the start and i the exit of slow corners.

I've got a Novak Ballistic 10.5T motor and the 2.12 software.
My setup is:
6.5FDR
End bell: N+5°
50°Boost 4400-12500
10 Turbo 0.16 Del. Ramp 3.0
5 Throttle Profile
BL-FW
3.2V Voltage cutoff
No Current Limit
100 Brake
0 Drag Brake
Min Throttle/Brake 10
NW 10
No Push Control

Motor is 60°C(140°F) after 5min with cooling fan.

I don't Know it's over- or under-timed but it's slow when I accelerate from low speed corners. Could somebody help with my setup?

Thanks in advance
Zsolt

What is your final ratio?
I run in 10.5t class, my final ratio is 7.57 on a TC6 with a LRP X12 0 timing

Here is my set up:
drag brakes: 0
limiter: 30
neutral width: 25
profile: 3
throttle min: 10
brake min: 15
timing advance: 100
push control: 25
boost: 40
turbo: 20
ramp: 3
turbo delay: 0
start rpm: 8000ish can change to 5000ish depending on track
end rpm: 20000ish

You need to remember that your batteries are a big part of your speed, I run 60/65C in my class.
also your motor will be hotter, it is hot here at present 25/30 degrees and my motor is around 70/80 with fan on of course, battery at 40ish and speedo 35/40ish.

Hope this works for you, you should have plenty power with this.

Olly covered the rest, but I did not see what you have the throttle min set to. this will give you more punch out of the corner. I run 17.5 and run 6.8 to 7.0 with a Duo 3, you may want to push up your FDR by dropping 2 teeth. On the throttle min, start with 10, I run 13, depending on the track, but we seem to about the same size... 140 is safe to give your motor a little more.

Thank you for the fast reply.
I run 6.5FDR. I will try 7ish and try a wider and higher rmp range.
When do you use lower start rpm, when the track is more technical?
I run 3 month old IP 5800 60C so I think that can't be the problem.
You run current limit, Does it reduces temps a lot?

I run both throttle and brake min at 10. I will try a ~7 FDR.

yes depending on lengh of straight or if the track is fast or twisty.

We run sometime 5 minimum throttle too, this will give you more punch quicker on throttle.
