RB50 has doubled FETS than RB30 such that the internal resistance was halved in results of higher efficiency. With lower internal resistance, more energy can go to the motor and gives a bit higher rpm as well.

I ordered two RB50 controllers, one as a combo with the 17.5.
The first RB 50 will be going into my TC5 VTA car, but not untill after next weekend for several reasons.
1. I have a Chemothearpy treatment on Monday and will be pretty much wiped out untill Wendesday.

2. Friday and Saturday I am going to be in Green Bay for the next round of the Hurricane series on 12/6 and don't want to change over to this new one just now due to the lack of track time.

3. I'm still getting used to the new TC5 car and the new Spektrum DX3S radio.

This new RB50 will be replacing a Novak XBR in the VTA car that uses a Novak 21.5 and Orion 5000 LiPo pack. I will up date when I make the switch over.

The second DR50 I ordered with the 17.5 combo package will be going into a future car after X-mas.

Yes I have a VERY understanding and suportive wife!!!!

I am by no means an A main driver, but will give you all the best review I can.

Question for tech addict from Team Wave.

How many degrees give the time shift to the motor, this thing is nice to know
because on tracks where i have practised , sometimes i had the motor timing adjusted.

Default TEAM WAVE 17.5 BL Motor

I got my 17.5 today and thought I'd take some pictures. Just like their ESC, the motors are packaged in a neat and well padded box complete with 100mm sensor wire, instillation instructions, gear ratios for SEVERAL applications both on and off-road as well as motor specs

I know you all know what a BL motor looks like, but this is Wave's motor. It appears to be very similar to the Trinity Duo motor which, in my experience was a terribly quick motor in my sedan. Regardless of what it is or how many other manufacturers carry this motor, combined with Wave's controllers, it's no doubt going to be fast and easy to drive for sure! I can't wait to get it on the track!

What I like about the motor is the little rubber plug covering the wire side motor bearing. Makes it easy to oil!!!!

Default Team Weave BL Motors

I was told its a Speed Passion motor rebranded by Team Wave. If your game to take out the sticker on end bell then you will see the SP engraving. I've been running a 10.5 Banzai and is really a Speed Passion and is happy with the results so this should bo no different.

The Speed Passion is actually a rebadged Feigao based motor. The TeamWave motor is also based on the Feigao can so they should be similar in performance.

Do you know that Speed Passion is a distributor and not a manufacturer? That's why you pay more. Wow .

well if it is actually the marked speed passion motor that is a good thing, as the motor cana be used at US races as we use roar rules at most races and this is a roar approved motor if the rear sticker is taken off. NICE

SP is engraved into the top of the motor.
