LRP Touring Car Masters 2008
One year is over again and itīs just 2 days left for the LRP TCM 2008 race to start. As always itīs held in Eppelheim near Heidelberg/Germany.
This year itīs one month earlier than before, from what I heard this is as it was very warm inside the hall last year.
As always there will be both the open Masters class and the HPI challenge series.
First day (friday) there will be registration and practice for the Masters class, on saturday practice for the HPI Challenge and 3 rounds of qualifying for everone. On sunday there will be the 4th round of qualifying and the finals.
Iīm not sure if the drivers list is final but it seems no American driver is attending this year.
From overseas there will be Atsushi Hara, Adachi and 2WD offroad World Champion Mastsuzaki Hayato. Also most of the European top drivers as Andy Moore, Craig Drescher, Viktor Wilck, Hupo Hönigl, Juho Levänen, Teemu Leino and a lot of others. Also of course the Germans as European Champion Ronald Völker, Marc and Tony Rheinard, Marc Fischer, Steven Weiß and others.
Someone from the forum is coming?

Too bad you`ve messed up your hire car arrangements! Iīve been here at Ibis for a few hours, right now a few Japanese guys are hanging around including the super fast kid from Yokomo, hopefully I will be able to upload some pictures after each day.

Just getting ready for the race tomorrow. Got my new airbrushed body from the painter this evening. This is for the HPI Super Sport class and needs some work tonight with cutting, drilling holes for the bodyposts and fitting decals.
Picture isnīt that good, my camera donīt like dark rooms. At daylight the body looks much better. Thanks Marcel.

Just a little update. The track is nearly the same as last year, the chicane at the infield again is one of the most important area of the track.
The carpet seems much better than last year. There was no laptiming today at the practice so we have to wait for the qualifying rounds to see who really is fast. Several cars looked good already one of them was Marc Rheinard who looked really fast to me.
More at the official race website.
I donīt know if I can post anything here before the end of race as I will stay at the race this time and it seems there is no wireless there.
