thanks for the info!!!

what i did with my front one way is I placed shims on the drive cups about 2-3mm so the cvd's will be inside the drive cups more.

I do not experience the cvd's dis-engaging the drive cups but there is some binding.

what did you guys do??

I run the front one-way stock...haven't had any real problems with them yet. There are bearing that are used on the older 10scale pan cars that can be place on the drive-cup axle. This may help eliminate the binding...yes regular shims will bind since the bearing are internal...

Just wanted to drop in to let all the guys that emailed us know that our revised upper deck is back in stock. It was slightly revised to increase the fit and quality of the part. Sorry for such a long wait!?! --

Thanks guys!

Default Hot Bodies toe in rear hub carriers (or similar)

Anyone have any input on their effectiveness on slippery surfaces, with tight turns?

I'm certain they'll "plant" the back end more, but do they noticeably reduce the cars ability to rotate through tight turns?

Default More toe-in????

The Pro-3 has a tendency to push in the turns because the back end is usually too planted.
I would only use the 2.5 or 3 deg rear blocks with a Modified motor set-up to gain some more forward bite.
The blocks will slow down a Stock motored car way too much.

Default QUESTION

I have been racing my pro3 in stock only, and placed the 2deg blocks in the rear.

Is that the reason why I can't seem to have enough speed?

my car weights, 1.5kgs ready to run, P2k2pro 78/26 ratio

is there too much toe in at the rear??

thanks?

Default Pro-3 rear toe blocks

I think that your rear toe is good. Your final gear ratio seems ok too.
Where is your speed problem? In the corners or on the straights?

Are you keeping your motor maintained well?

What kind of batteries do you use and at what rate do you charge them at?

What springs are you using on the F & R shocks?

What TOTAL caster are you running in the front?

All of these will effect your lap times significantly.

If you can give me some more information, I can help you better with the problem you are having.

corners

yep

What kind of batteries do you use and at what rate do you charge them at?
sanyo HV's charge at 4amps (IONIC)

What springs are you using on the F & R shocks?
Orange HPI on the front, on the rear Tamiya red (no HPI here)

What TOTAL caster are you running in the front?
dunno? i use square 1.5 degree blocks and 3degree c-hub

All of these will effect your lap times significantly.

If you can give me some more information, I can help you better with the problem you are having.
thanks for the help

Default Pro-3 too slow

I think one of your problems is the charge rate for your batteries. I couldn't keep up with the other cars until I went up to 5+ amps. Also I started charging at the track instead of the night before.

You also may want to try some stiffer shock springs to reduce roll in the corners. I run HPI 27mm springs and tend to stick with the #'s: 6846 Green, 6846 Blue, 6849 Pink in some combination or other depending on the track conditions.
My Pro-3 seems to like a fairly stiff spring for running on asphalt.
Sometimes I will run a stiffer spring in the back to get the car to rotate better in the turns.

I run the same HB springs that Hara uses: 1.4x5.50x22 and don't have a problem with speed or cornering...
