that would be the only way with a stick pack and a hb upper deck

i see what your saying. all i know is that when the part was made, ben decided that it was long enough. so far, no problems.
i see how a longer one would be nice but then again but as of yet it hasent proven to be necessary

dark2g - the prp upperdeck is wide so the battery can come straight up and out. and yes, i believe stick packs will fit.

the problem with using a stick pack with any of the aftermarket chassis's is that the pack can slide out the side really easy. with a side by side pack the cells "key" inot the chassis so they stay in place. technically stock packs will fit but they will prbably slide out even with a small collision.

if u run the stock chassis with a prp upperdeck, a stick pack will work! but like newracer said, with any aftermarket chassis, the pack will slide.
good luck

STICK PACK
I just recently graduated from stick pack
and you can prevent the stick pack from sliding in two ways:
1. Use a fiber tape/electric tape or what haveyou and tape the battery from theunderside to the battery hold down thing
2. dremel!!! make a small hole that would fit the tape on both sides of the battery(four in all) so the battery will not sway inside and get hit by the belt!!!!
Most after market chassis, HB, Kai have slots to place the tape thru, if not use a dremel
Hope this helps
I have been doing this for about a year until recently!!!!
Before I get pissed off because I have to remove the HB upper deck every time I CHANGE the battery!!!
Until the PRP upper deck arrived!!!!!
And when it did, I think it was time for an upgrade for my batteries!!!!!

Tech Adept
I've just installed the HB upper deck.
I'm very pleased with the quality and the effectiveness of stiffening the chassis.
I noticed in some of the Pictures of the HB chassis and upper deck combos that part of the front bulk head has been removed. ie. the part that fits to the top of the steering posts. What I can not see is how the steering posts are now secured??
Anyone done this mod? and can you tell me how it is done and what is needed.
Thanks ,
Yorkie

I think some people don't bother with the brace at all, they just put the screws back in - the posts are quite sturdy.
Personally I cut up my old fibre-lyte top-deck to retain the brace.
You could also cut up the plastic brace to get the same effect.

well i figured i give the rear sway bar set a try on my pro 3, i set it up at the track last night and i noticed that the sway bar is real lose wear it is supposed to seat in the rear block in the rear of the chassis.is there supposed to be alot of play in there? i checked the directions and i did not see anyrthing i was supposed to install besides the 2 screws.
well anyway i gave it a try anyway and it took away an off power push i had. so it seemed to be helping but i wasnt sure if i was missing something. thanks for anyhelp u guys can give.

spaz - you want part no A405 - Axle cam/swaybar holder set
THis includes some plastic moulded parts which mount the anti-roll bars a lot more securely than the screw alone - well worth getting
It also includes parts to adjust the rear belt tension in finer steps.
