I'm really surprised all the thought that apparently went into this and they neglected to open the rear pod up to facilitate brushless use!

JimmyMac 02-16-2008 03:58 AM

Actually they stated that they widened the rear pod for ease of brushless installation.

Could be, hard to tell in the pics. Looks like the harness is a little tight and not much clearance for and aft of the motor in the top/bottom plates, but that might just be the pic angle.

So when is the 10R5 coming out?

protc3 02-16-2008 04:51 AM

After talking to bob, I think AE may do a 200mm pancar:) We spoke over a few(maybe a few too many) beers at the snowbirds. He expressed alot of interest in the class and had alot of good ideas for the class. I have to say, I was very impressed by him and his passion for the hobby. He is a hell of a good guy.

I was told they were making one but could not say anything. Now I'm still going to run my RJSpeed car until I see what's out there.I'm glad to see Associated enter both the 1/12th and 1/10th pan cars class with new cars.

yeah, i think its been about time they updated the electric cars recently. a very good move on their part. Like RussB said, there was a ton of innovation in that car, but im not sure if that will always work out for them. Sometimes its better not to reinvent something entirely, but its sure interesting. How long do you guys think its parts will be moving to other companies? lol

Oh, i read somewhere also, that the L stands for Losi, who was one of the main designers? I would probably go with Road on this one.

do you think theyll stick with their $200 price tag? i doubt it, atleast $250 is my guess.

xtrememadness 02-16-2008 12:15 PM

its probably all metric. the tc5 is metric and i think if thunder tiger is producing the car its most likely going to be metric. the screws are probably 3mm. does suck that we cant use the front end on another car though.
