Hi

We need to let everyone know that our sale is coming to an end soon. We would like to have it go on indefinitely but we just can't afford to do so. We moved a lot of cars and that is good for us all. The more cars that are out there the greater our knowledge base. We are also at the end of the line for the limited edition cars. At this point there are only a few left. We will not be making any more of those but we are working on some other developments. Thank you to all of you that participated in our Christmas / New Year sale. It was our biggest ever. It was our attempt to make things a bit easier for all of us that have been hit hard by this economy. Thanks again from all of us at Wolf hobbies

GTB has no timing adjustable...all rely on the motor's timing if there is one.

Tekin, LRP, Mamba, Speed Passion, AE Black Diamond from the last 2 years...all has build in speedo adjustable timing ON TOP of the motor's adjustable timing. Tekin, even has the TURBO MODE along with MMP's Cheat Mode to BOOST the motor on the straight for a short period of time.

2 years ago was the MOTOR of the month...the past year, was the Speedo (software) of the month...this year, who know...may be only SOFTWARE/FIRMWARE of the month.

With all these new software/techology behind the speedo, the good old 4.5 final drive for typical 13.5 motor will only get your motor blew within 1 minute. Of course, unless you are still using GTB that is.

Wow, talk about a "new" learning curve! We are talking "sensored" BL right?

what seems to be the latest lipos that fit the car? I know most of the orions do, I have shown some interest in the new peak packs as well? just not sure if they will fit or not.

Also, is this a bullet plug pack style car only? or is it possible to still run a pack with d-plugs ?

Picts of d-plug pack cars would be sweet!!:nod:

Go back a bit and see my pics.

lol, all im seeing are picts of the car with bullet plugs, not deans plugs.

anyone recently run the K4902,K4903 K factory springs? Just wondering, how those relate to lbs, kits seem to just be numbered. (refiring to the uncolored kit), i know the other colored kit rates have been plastered all over here :P

thanks for the help,

Only sensored...don't care much about sensorless.

Quite frankly unless the wires come out the side of the battery I don't see Dean's plugs working.

yup, thats what i kinda thought, i think the smc's have the wires coming out of the top, but then again, i dont see their being that big of an issue over the connector.

I just know the thunder power packs all have deans on them, and they seem to be the local ticket!!

I ran the SMC 4100 lipos in my car with the deans plugs and they fit great. Now if you use the steel battery tray then the tray will need modified slightly since the SMC packs are square corners and the Orions are rounded. I took roughly 1mm of so off but after that the packs fit great. Stock plastic tray shouldn't be a problem. I ran the packs with the plug end coming out the left front of the car in the FS.

Wires coming out of the left will work coming from the front of the chassis. If the pack is too high you still "may" have an issue.

The SMC 4100's are a perfect height but Isaac is right if they are much taller they won't fit so well. The 5200 SMC packs are too tall.

Im still at the office and a friend gave me to try a 84 spur and 32 pinion on 48P, anyone knows if will fit on the car or are too big ? ... sorry for the post, im so preocupied about this i cant wait to arrive home and try,

thanks

Depends if you have mod the side belt tensioner and you use a motor with a tampered back side.
I think the LRP motors and all that have the same back end will do with a slight mod to the side belt tensioner.
The GM or Tekin motor should have a bigger problem tho

cheers Roy

Okay, I guess I've got some studying to do on the new tech. Time to get rid off the old GTBs.

http://www.actionrc.com.au/?p=2595 (Brushless motor article) not bad. It's directed at getting the most out of stock/super stock 17.5/10.5
