Hey, I have a question regarding E4RS

The rear pulley that connects the belt to the rear diff, has anyone replaced it?

I bought the spare plastic ones # 503197 according to the manual. But it should be a different pulley compare to the rest used on the car. It needs a step inside to clear that extra diameter on the Alu shaft yet the manual shows that it uses the same part # as the other pulleys?

Any idea?

I need this for the JS. I've replaced 3 of the plastic ones already. The TA class can be brutal, but the shop rentals are like rolling bricks. I hit one and broke not only the mount but the front sub chassis at toe block. OUTCH! Used my last spare, fixed it in 5 minutes, but still.

On my wish list is a carbon front and rear sub chasis for the JS tub to go along with this bumper mount.

Part # 503197 comes with 2 pulleys correct. Do they both look the same? The center pulley will have a flat end on it and the side pulley has a beveled end . I looked at Wolf hobbies web site and there is no specific center shaft pulley unless you buy the aluminum or switch out all the pullies to 18 tooth pullies

Ouch is right . I replaced a couple of the stock ones myself. I'd say its must have hop up.

are the alloy pulleys for the long belt larger. my belt skips and if i tighten it down it doesny skip but it doesnt roll free. anything i can do. i heard soaking belt in wd4o

Are you sure its the side belt .. my rear belt was loose and well, there is a happy mediun for that side belt.. I bet the bilett ones cure most of that too.

Hi I am having the exact same problem with pulleys, I was replacing them on the rear only to notice that the original 'side' pulley should have a longer conical nose on it. If you replace it with one of the pulleys 503197 then it does not sit against the bearing and then there is too much end float on the layshaft! I have an aluminium pulley (aluminum if your reading this outside of the UK!) but this pulley is narrower.
Anybody got any coment on how to overcome this, a spacer maybe?

Also:
a/ I have heard that replacing the 17t pulleys with 18t reduces belt slip is this the reason for using 18t?
b/ Do I replace have to replace all 4 off pulleys or can I just replace the centre pulleys (the 18t packet 503222 has 2 off identical pulleys so I have the same problem as menioned above i.e. they are both the same in the packet and the layshaft is sloppy so I just want to replace the centre pulleys and leave the original 17t pulleys for the long belt)
c/ Does using 18t pulleys affect the internal ratio of the car?
