I have already seen just a slight bit of bashing on the PRO10 class and I just can not see why.
So there already is 1:10 oval, and 1:12 pan car why the need for PRO10?
I'll lay it down. Sedans were fun, then they became a money pit and became too technincal for most club racers.
With a PRO10 class the entry cost and sustainment cost are lower. The PRO10 class may be the winning ticket during a slower economy.

Again, I hope people jump on board and this class becomes wildly popular. I'll for sure run it. However, I'll still wonder why the heck the same people that get all excited about Pro10 didn't just run 1/12th scale in the first place.

Beyond Lipo being available right away for these new cars how is the cost of Pro10 any lower than 1/12th? In fact, there are an abundance of good 1/12th scale cars out there to be had used for pretty cheap. So in the end Pro10 is more expensive than 1/12th (especially if people want to run 6 cell rather than Lipo) and almost exactly the same thing but slightly larger. Why divide up the classes even further?

I can't speak for carpet racing but this car looks like an easier car to drive in asphalt plus lipo is an option for this chasis.....

Well I see it like oval. They have both 1/12th scale and 10th scale. But the 10th scale classes are more popular. More room to work with on a 10th scale chassis. I dunno. Right now I just gotta decide on which brand to get when they become available... 
Jason, how long did you run with the 10.5 and 4cells? Do they make 8 minutes? Or would we be running 5 or 6 minutes with them?

This class is not to take away from 1/12th scale. 1/12th is an awesome class and i love it. There are alot of guys that just want to run 1/10th scale only. They have stuck with TC and like the TC style bodies and look. If anything, it should give those who dont run 1/12th a good idea of how cool the class really is. They are based off of all of our 1/12th cars in a larger scale.

This has been the first year that I have seen Pro10 and F1 to be run at an electric nationals in New Zealand. There are only 5 entries each, but it will still be awesome to watch / race. As i've never seen them run at the nats before.
I'll be racing Pro12 and Pro10. can not wait

Here are a few answer to issues people brought up.
1. Sedans and 1/12th car use relativity narrow tires for the respective car size. As a result they tend to wear a little fast. Pro 10 car use 2" (50mm) wire rear tires and 1.25" (32mm) wide front tires. They have huge amounts of grip on asphalt and because of this they don't slide and don't wear tires much at all.
2. Why Pro 10? For some reason some guys don't take 1/12th seriously. I have no idea why as they are fast and fun. Maybe it because they are small or perceived to be twitchy (they are not). Either way Pro 10 cars are extremely confidence inspiring. They are very easy to drive and are very stable. As a result you can easily drive them faster and with more power than you normally can run in any other car. Thats a lot of fun.
3. Tire prices. You can get 1/10th tire for only a couple dollars more than 1/12th tires
