The list reflects 10.5 as modified as those motors fall under the modified rules and specifications. ROAR is allowing 10.5 in the super stock class this year only as a transition into brushless motors into this class only.

Kyle is right, as long as their is a modified counterpart on the list from a MFG, the 10.5 is legal. Although, to ensure everybody understands this, we are requesting 10.5's be submitted so we are able to data log the inductance readings and post them on the list to avoid confusion.

(looks like we failed the no confusion part... LOL)
So does this mean it's legal? just looking for a simple yes or no answer because it is NOT listed on your list.

If the manufacture sent a 10.5 wind in for inspection it will be legal for there is a MOD motor listed.

Horse? Hmm... .maybe I won't answer this question now... LOL

LRP sent in a 10.5 for induction readings and we are still working to update our list today. All motors available for use at the Carpet Nats must be on the list no later than today.

So..... if you don't see it tomorrow.. then, I guess we'll have to figure out what your asking...

for now, I'm trying very hard to update the lipo list and the BL motor list. Also, verifying documentation of availability as per our rules. Not trying to avoid answering your question.

The lithium battery approval list will be posted by the end of the day today with all the batteries submitted and approved for ROAR competition. Also, we have finalized the BL motor list and that will be updated later today.

I have received several questions regarding not seeing 10.5on the approval list.

10.5's are actually modified motors and are approved as such per our rules. In 2008, ROAR has deemed super stock competition with as low as 10.5 winds and 19T brushed motors. This gives the racer choices of what brushless motor they want to use... 13.5, 10.5 or whatever or 19T brushed, ROAR Approved motors.

2009, as per the rule book, super stock will be 13.5 Brushless motors only, no brushed motors. This gives racers a full year to make the transition to brushless only in the super stock class.

i really just want to step back and commend the job that dawn and the entire roar team has done in order to bring some sanity into the necessary chaos that came with adopting brushless and lipo technology. never before has roar taken such dramatic steps in order to keep up with the rapidly evolving market, and with such little time to do it in.* reguardless of how much complaining there is, the true fact is that this is the first sell out for nats in a while, and that is proof positive that roar is moving in the right direction, both with the approval of lipo/brushless, and the awarding of the nats to such a great facility.thank you.

I agree Mario... well put! .... Not to mention the selection of "The Plex" as the host track this year. I think having the race in a central location helps.

Can't wait to see everyone here....!

One more thing.....

ARE YOU READY TO ROCK???
