Is this still to happen, I see the updated list but only modified speedpassion are listed.
Also I see the Novak is the 10.5 pro, does this mean the earlier 10.5 non-pro is excluded!

Todd, we sent press releases to each tv station. My sister works at fox, and our owner is friends with John Knicely. So, we should get coverage from those two stations at least

I thought about going because I hear the facility is great and there is a rubber tire class But after reading all the posts about what body is legal and will this or that motor be approved and having to join ROAR.. well it made it a easy decision to spend my money elsewhere... probably the IIC
I will just follow the race on the net.

Default To infinity and beyond...

Being a recent brushless/lipo convert, I congratulate ROAR for taking the organization (and us) so far forward in such a short time.

I will be anxiously looking at how Scotty shapes the IIC in the wake of ROAR doing an event that so many racers plan to attend...It's almost IIC'ish in its innovation; and, ROAR probably realizes that need after our raving about the IIC for the past few years...

Default I may have a chance

In the 13.5 rubber tire there are 54 entries.

That means in my F main there will just be three of us.
So a long as the dropouts and the new signups are equal I will be fine.

funny how that works. i sign up for 3 classes, and those 3 are the most entered. i wonder if i would have been better off getting dead last in mod.

See you guys in just over two weeks
When will the Roar site be updated? It still shows 1476-01 expires 2-28-2008.
I just want to make sure I purchase a legal body.

As Ruben stated, the body has been included in the extension list of bodies that did not meet the GBS specifications that the body MFG's generated.

This is the announcment. You'll see the body you asked about is included.

2/6/08 Body Approval Extension

The ROAR President, the ROAR Competition Director, the ROAR Technical Director, the Electric On Road Committee, the Body Approval Committee along with acceptance for the best interest of racing and the ROAR membership from the body manufacturing agents and in the best interest and the integrity of our Carpet Nationals event, has extended the expiration date of the following bodies to 3/31/08.

These bodies fall outside of the Global Body Specifications rules either by dimension testing or expiration and resubmission date, as per the rules published in 2007 and again without change in 2008. ROAR is working with the body companies regarding the GBS rules that have been in place and provided a courtesy reexamination of these bodies as they were not resubmitted as requested. ROAR has stated to these companies the bodies will fall off the approval list and will not return unless they are resubmitted for another courtesy evaluation and for those who failed in dimension testing, the errors are corrected.

There are no plans to provide another extension for the Paved On Road Nationals as ROAR feels one year plus several months is plenty of time to comply to published rules. Also, ROAR recommends to the membership to log into the approval list on several occasions prior to an event to verify the expiration dates of bodies and other products intended for use.

Any questions regarding the GBS rules, please contact Ruben Benitez at [email protected] or Tim Potter at [email protected] or David Lee at [email protected].

Thanks Dawn.

So, the Parma Mohawk 10074L (lightweight) will not be legal. I do not see it on the list.

It is.. the "L" is the lightweight version of the same body. Those rules have never changed.

Dawn ... your to quick for me. Evostyle ..... just so you know and understand. These bodies had their approval dates extended just for the carpet nats under a deviation approved by the Executive Committe. The approvals list will not be updated until the bodies are resubmitted and approved at which time they would get a new approval experation date
