Where did you get that body? I'm curious as I'm into the small classic Euro Fords. I want a MK2 Escort if possible

It’s from Kamtec in the UK. Do a lot of old type body’s for V12 mardave’s but fit Mini with 210 wheel base.
There have a e-bay shop as well. I know they have mk1 escort. I know not a ford, but a great looking mk1 golf

I own a 1:1 Mk2 RS2000 2dr;) I already had an obsession with Mk2 Escorts well before that vid of Block's was made.

Havent played with my Minis in a while but I have a question for the MO5 drivers out there. I bought the Pro car when it first came out but because of it not tracking straight it's been keeping the shelf warm.

Do the upgraded aluminum steering pieces really cure the tracking issue or is here anything else that needs to be done to get these things to track?

rccardr 07-15-2010 09:48 AM

Dave, I built my M05 Pro with both the M05 ball diff and aluminum steering parts and have never had an issue with tracking. Qualified sixth and finished fifth with it at the Memphis TCS event- first time out.

BTW, neither RayK nor I will be in CT next month for their TCS, so it's yours to lose, baby!

i raced my M05 pro last weekend without any tracking problems. I no tracking problems with the stock diff. You may want to check your servo, steering rack, front toe, etc.

I have one of these BNIP:

http://www.retroracing.com/epages/OV.../Products/2009

pm me if you're interested. It is however a normal TC wheelbase.

Use the 3racing, Yeah Racing or Tamiya steering upgrade and shim it tight.
I have the Tamiya alu steeringparts on mine and added 0.2mm down and 0.1mm in top in posts. No problem with tracing after that.
