Ignore all the other crap. It's just combo deals with stuff you dont want/need. Batteries and screw kits and such.

I recommend the Ti screw set unless you already have lots of them. hex screws are much easier to torque and won't strip as easy as a phillips. I got the Ti and Al kit for the extra "blueness"... need some conformity with my other tamiya chassis:lol:

I'm also getting the kit and the screw set.

For those trying to order the kit and screw set, its the 13,500¥ option. If you use the Google Language tools it will translate it well enough for you to see what each offers.

And its a DAMN good screw set. First, the blue screws are as close to Tamiya blue as you'll ever get, and the screws on the bottom are usually all Ti screws. The hexes are perfect fits for any quality 2mm(5/64) driver.

As for the shipping, all people have to do is compare prices.

Kit+screw kit+EMS shipping(RC Champ)=kit+standard ground shipping(any US seller) So your paying the same thing you would pay for the kit here in the states, plus your getting a great screw kit.

On top of that, EMS usually takes no more than 3 days to get to you. Compare that to the standard shipping from US shops....what 5-7 days???

I've got a question. I have just finished off my m03, when i put the servo saver (horn?) on (b11, b10, b6) and drive around the horn doesn't re-center as it can move around and i meant to glue it together? :confused:

So, are RC Champ's prices amazingly low, or are Tamiya's North American prices totally out to lunch? I expect that when the M-05 hits the shelves here, it will be well over $200 (CAD).

Converting the prices on RC Champ to Canadian dollars, I'm getting a price of around $123.

Just how much do they charge for shipping?

For us in Australia , Chanp charge around 30% of the item value for shipping which is ridiculous

I think you may have missed the little washer (B2) which goes on the front under the screw.

i do have a washer under the head of the screw. Its as if I'm not clamping the horn down tight enough to hold it all together to make it work as 1 piece.

edit: I fixed it, problem was the middle piece (b6) wasn't tight enough around the other 2 pieces which allowed it to move around. I got a new horn set for 8.50 (not for a mini) and put that b6 in and it works like a dream. Thanks for everyone's responses.

wrap the silver spring from the high torque servo saver around the stock one. you can also use a tie strap,but I dont recommend that.

Just got my M05 courtesy of my good friend coming back from Japan. Hehe its nice. They include alu servo horns but not the other alu parts. Guess they are hop ups

I hope for Tamiya's sake that your kit is just missing the Alu rear uprights, otherwise they'll have some very upset customers on there hands.

Afterall it's on there own site that the Pro kit comes with the Alu rear uprights included.

My bad. Alu rear uprights too. No alu fronts tho

found some things out.

1. The alum rear upright uses 1050 bearings. It has 1.5 toe in. So I cannot see a diff between this and my M03R one. I say they are the same deal.

2. The lower suspension mount on the rear bulkhead is a completely separate piece. This gives alternatives for toe in or anti-squat blocks. good idea there.

3. Car is a tad heavy this time. came in at about 1386g. (my cup racer is 1340g with same batt.:sweat:) There are stuff that you don't need such as the batt holders (just use tape) and the electronic trays. but I don't think I can get it under 1300 using 3600mah packs.

4. Get the hex screws. oh, what a life saver. enough said.:lol:
