Yup,the end is threaded on all the way. I just put the shocks back together, so I can't get a picture now.

ermm..don mind me asking, how did you manage to run with water ??

how did you protect your electronics??

i use Novak GTX speed control (which is i believe this ESC is water proof), i put it in the back inside rear chassis with no protection, and i put my rx inside a mini plastic box above rear chassis.
all my electronics just fine untill now... ;)

It's just the nature of the MINI beast...The front/hood of the body sits on the front shock tower - that's as low as it can go...and you can still fit a barbies head in that wheel well gap...Ha, ha, ha...It's cool man - just pop your shocks off and take a picture of it slammed - then pop them back on and run that thing until the tires split at the seams... :D

i dont think the gtx is waterproof

but its not like you'd be running your mini underwater

Hey guys I though the Tamiya Super Slick 63s are 60 millimeter in size but wanted to make sure before ordering some. Is that right or are they only 55 millimeter.
Thanks

In this pic, they have a shorter piece of the plastic tubing than what the manual says. The manual says 10mm in the front and 12mm in the rear.

I am confused what to do to make it lower. Do I keep the 10mm and 12mm pieces in or do I not put them in?

Can someone give me a step by step on what to do?

You still need to keep the normal black thick tubing in the shock and that stays the normal length as per the manual.

The piece of clear tubing and black o-ring on the shock shaft will then run inside the black rubber tubing and this will keep the damping, make sure to the grease it up.

And it should reduce the length of the overall shock by about 5mm.

hopefully this helps clear it up, unless it didn't need clearing up in which case just ignore it

Lee,

Need not worry should u use that esc for next weekend's race. For the 5 min heat, it wont reach the COV even on 3200 LiPo running on Tamiya Sport Tuned. But be very extra careful on ur timing for the mains... i normally pit after 15 min on a 3200. 4000 should add a bit more runtime :sneaky:

see ya at the race. it should be a blast....!

I am going to get paint today for the Mini. I will post pictures later.
