Same for the 3300kV .. although it might have a slight edge on a very large track

Ashley Cobb 09-02-2008 07:25 PM

the brushless was noticeably faster on saturday night... heaps more punch out of the corners.

will have the hard numbers as soon as the race results are uploaded

So the Hobbywing motors are 380 size?

The measurement on their site show the motors to be the same diameter and only being a couple of mm shorter as the 540 Sensored Motors.

cannon 09-03-2008 12:18 AM

The Hobbywing motors have huge finned heatsinks on the can which make them the diameter of a 540 can :D

No problem, glad to help, even though you though I was someone else haha

Information should have been similar anyway.

hmm hi guys, got my Ezrun bl with 9t motor, ast test run on my msxx at about 5.7, seems to be very much faster than my other 23t(yokomo, tamiya) brushed motor,

motor was only a bit warm after about 10 laps, until lipo cut kick in..

will post more later.

do you think this hobbylink 9 t can be use on mo3??

xrayroooahhhh 09-05-2008 10:31 AM

Is there something comparative????

I'm sure this has been asked a few times before....but....here goes.....have there been any brushless lipo combo's that compare to the silver can....or is there still a huge difference??

Thanks,
Roy

Heya Roy, rc-mini.net ran a good article a while back on the speed passion brushless setups that were designed to be direct replacements for silver and black cans. According to their results, the net gain in speed was negligible.

They also have an article on their current main page about another brushless system that's really cheap.

Planning on running brushless for a little bashing and practice time?

Jim

The original Speed Passion Exige system we tested is no longer available. The motors were good but the esc's were a bit hit and miss.
The Hobbywing systems we tested recently are a much better bet.
