Tamiya mini cooper

after reading all of Tim K spilling his guts out and letting out his secrets, it occurred to me he forgot ( or rather De Fina forgot) the little one about checking the magnetism of the motor with a TV set, a ruler and a permanent marker...
Also, I see no mention of the "Fanta" run-in method.....

Ok, so in my infinite wisdom I wanted to see how fast i could get my M03 and put a 6.5 brushless in it with LiPo (It went fast)
I cant seem to find the part numbers for the transmission gears so they can be replaced, I literally melted all 3 gears. So I'm looking for the spur, diff and center gears if anyone could help.
I tried the tamiya website and trying to download a manual or exploded view is a joke, and the mini site did have the part numbers that I could find last night????

Spice inserts have a rounded edge. What's neat about them is they come in 2 different thicknesses and in 3 different harnesses(?). Work great in RP's and Spice tires and also for double stuffing Tamiya 60D's. Ride inserts do not have rounded edges and are thinner. Also the Ride inserts are softer. Also good for double stuffing 60d's when you want them slightly softer.

Hi all. Just seeking some help on what I think is excessive tyre wear. The tyres below are Tamiya 60D's taken form my two minis. The one on the left is double stuffed, although the Tamiya hard foam is on the outer and the Sorex insert is on the inner. The one on the right is single stuffed with Tamiya standard foam inserts.
Both cars have had two race meets, so 6 heats and 2 finals each. Surface is asphalt with medium grip, track size is around 19-20 seconds per lap. Standard sports tuned motors, nothing out of the ordinary in setup.
Is this level of tyre wear normal for a mini, or is my tyre construction efforts lacking? If so, is there anything I can do to make the tyres last a bit better with tyre/rim/insert selection?
Thanks for your help guys.

I haven't seen him on here in a day or 2. Likely out smoking some-body (or some-thing).
