A question about the ta03 diff. I'm building up a m03 and have put a ta03 diff in the front. The driveshafts I've put in are too short. Why would that be ? What length should they be ?
Thanks

I run the MantaRay diffs in my M03. I the dog bones and CVDs are the same lengths as the M05's.. I've not tried the TA03 diffs in my M03.

When the diff wears out, I will be running the monkeyracing diff.

I have another question. I recently converted a M03 to rwd and would like to widen it. I believe that FF02 suspension arms are the ones I'm looking for as the chassis on both cars is very similar. If so, what length cvds should I need ?
Thanks

The standard dog bones/driveshafts will do, but adding an o-ring into th drive cup at the steering knuckle I'll stop the dog one from falling out. Just be sure it doesn't cause the suspension to bind up. This can happen if you have an o-ring at both ends.

FF02/TL01 axles will work. Since you're going rwd, you won't even really need CVDs. So even kit standard dog ones from a cc01 will fit.

Many thanks. Arms are sorted, but still none the wiser about the diff and cvds.

Thanks they do, I noticed those.

I was hoping to pay less on the M-Four.. I bought mine last Fall with a 10% or 15% Fall discount, but no such promo's this season.

32819toon the axles you'll need if you're making a wider mini are the same as you'd need for a TL01/FF02/etc. You can get CVDs or just replace the stock dog bones with these 39mm ones.

If you find the axles are loose and falling out of the out drives from the TA03 diff (on your mini or larger cars) you can put an o-ring in the out drive to take up the slack space. For some reason, the TA03 diff allows a little extra play.

If the driveshafts are still too short, then you're on your own. Tamiya makes one size of drive axles for m-chassis cars as far as I know. There are a few lengths when you get up into the touring scale stuff, but when doing a basic conversion as you appear to be, the items listed should work. If you order the extra wide arms (TL01-L or B or somethings?) I have no clue.

Thanks Monkey.

Just to be clear, the ta03 diff is for a std M03 build, the arms are for a M03 rwd conversion I've done. I'll post pics of it at the weekend when I'm home.
