Cool. The Rover Mini's bodies I buy are usually around $32-33 shipped, but I am in the USA. ABC Hobbies makes other M-chassis bodies if you want to run a quick search at their site.

 hahaha! Yes, my track is basically open 24/7 rain or shine. :D Good job installing the replacement parts. Hope you get some run time today!!

To post pictures here, I first upload my pictures onto the Albums page, and copy/paste the image URL which looks like
[IMG] [/IMG] and paste it into the post.

I do however resize the image to 600 pixels width using a photo editor before I upload into the albums page though. I'm just using my phone camera so the images aren't that great to begin with.

Ya my wife would kill me if I came to the states to test 'just an rc car ' lol.....take the good with the bad I guess lol

Yes I have. I ran a 21.5 Reedy and it ran fine, but did not like the sudden torque it had so been using only silver cans. I'm planning to run the 21.5t later on in my GF-01 (truck) which also runs this ESC. :)

Yup just across that lake that my wife would drop my body into monkey lol. She's legit rubber room nuts pregos right now. Me and my little mini have a snow balls chance in hell of mattering right now lol

Hey Jim, just messing around with a bunch of M03 bits I have, and one of the diffs has hollow shafts. Do you recommend use of these? And when stuffing the diff, do you really stuff it, or medium?
Thanks.

Hi Colin, not sure I know which shafts you mean. Outdrive shafts, perhaps? Can't see any problems there. When I was stuffing the stock diff, I usually tried to fir in as much stuff as I could, like pieces of fuel tubing, or foam. Never had any luck with any kind of fluid or putty. Even that Blu Tac stuff leaked out of the outputs!

c-lyon 07-11-2015 09:22 PM

OK thanks re the stuff.

No, the shafts that the internal gears slide on to. Parts MA14 and MA15 in my Swift manual, or MA 13 and MA14 in the Cooper manual. I think I got it from Gitz a while ago. There's also a stock diff that's sealed. I think I'll have to break it to get it apart!

monkeyracing 07-11-2015 09:52 PM

Oh, those ones. Nope, never heard of any problems with them. I think they've actually replaced the carbon shafts as the lightweight upgrade part.

c-lyon 07-11-2015 09:54 PM

OK, thanks.

 your first? I was there a few months ago, our first, she hit this stage right before our biggest indoor race. Lets just say I was smart, I pulled my entry and didn't even ask if I could attend . I'm finally at the flip side, the little dude is doing well, and I've been given the green light to go back to mid week offroad racin.

When you have the little one in your arms, you look at your RC very differently. Now all I can picture is teaching him how to drive :D Enjoy every moment!

Thanks man...wise words lol. Ya i have a step daughter too that's 6 but she's more into the barbies but she likes the cars too. Still have to keep the kids and wife happy. And it's another girl so hopefully they both go the car route lol. Good to hear I'm not the only one that gets sidelined with family lol

Old saying----Happy wife, Happy life. Sometimes it's too easy to forget, this is just a hobby and a diversion. Lots more important things. I've been lucky in that this hobby junk as never become important enough to make a huge difference in how I lived my life or conducted myself.

With that being said, when I've been in the hobby it's always been with the goal of doing it well. For me that meant it was racing. Yeah, that damned old fool is still out there racing. Some can enjoy the hobby just Bashin' or running around by themselves, but I just can't relate to that. Certainly not their problem, but mine.

This is why most of my posts are about how to build a better race car within the TCS racing format. I've done some "outlaw" racing and liked that, but unfortunately it's no longer a viable option for me. Still have my "outlaw" car so do a little with the 55D and other 60D tires and other "outlaw" parts just for the hell of it.

Was able to spend some time at the track yesterday, mainly visiting old friends, but put in a battery or two. The "chops" are coming back a bit cause I was only 0.2 tenths off what pretty good driver was able to do with my car. Times were slow, but only emphasized that your car needs to be in good shape and set up well to run fast.

You may want to add to that list that being able to handle the car is important also
So in this case Practice and Experience does make perfect!!!
Glad you made it out Bob
Im sure there were many people happy to see you
Just wish Golddust and myself could trade paint with you some day
He keeps making noise about taking a trip to the wrong coast, so just maybe some time next year!

Hey congrats. I can relate, I have 2 kids of my own, they're older than yours, but I can say that the first 3yrs were pretty demanding. :D But I did try as much as possible to continue doing the things I loved to do. Wife and I would just take turns and not burn out.

I'm sure you already are, but take lots of pictures and short clips. When they get older you will watch those vids and pictures and appreciate watching them even more. Congrats to your new family. :D
