Blech. I hate that stuff. Is there any that doesn't smell like the cadaver I worked on in college?

You could try SXT or Jack. They're both similar to camping fuel/kerosene. I've heard that many suntan lotions work remarkably well, especially in warmer climates. You could make you car smell like coconuts or bananas.

If the cadaver smelled at all like a gas station or a tropical paradise, please disregard.

Haha. Funny. My wife forbade me from getting traction compound because of the smell. What kind of suntan lotion? I live in SoCal, so warm is not an issue. Have you tried Simple Green?

I use Simple Green 50/50 an water on my clay tires an the grip is better then tire compound. I will be trying it on my M05 tomorrow on the carpet.

I also recommend SXT or Jack. Both really don't have much of a smell in my opinion. I only use the stuff at the track, and store it outside on my balcony at home.
I've tried lotion, and while it was better than nothing, it's no where as good as traction compound. Not an option if you are racing with people with traction compound.

I'll try the Simple Green or lotion next time I am at the track. They spray it with Kool-Aid between rounds, and I seemed to do OK without compound last time out. I will experiment.

Another random question. Can you still get the Monster Mini body anywhere?

Simple green works well to clean and get the tires nice sticky. Most the time its all I use with the treaded tires. But I use it full strength. As for the slicks it does get them sticky but not enough for my liking. But I still use it to clean them but have a tire sauce mixed for me by a friend. I think its a mix of AT fluid, power steering fluid, and something else. But man it works well. Granted we run on asphalt outdoors, carpet tracks may not like this mix though.

I run a 2500mah Duratraxx lipo in mine. Its oval so it fits perfect. BUT my 3300 wolf packs that I use in my TC do not even though they are also oval.

Nope. You need a pinion with a 0.6 mod pitch. (Or, .6 module) Robinson Racing part no. 1120, Kawada part no. K20. Duratrax and several others make them as well.

I bought one of these, but when I added in tax and shipping, it was more like $40. TQ racing has a pack that looks pretty good for about the same price when you include all of the incidental costs.

https://www.tqrcracing.com/shop/prod..._id=&cart_seq=

I ordered that one too. I am going to use the Gens Ace in my TC3 and the PowerMax in my Mini.
